Bio and Links
Bio Photo Upon "googling" my great grandmother's name, I found a photo of her headstone on Find a Grave. I was amazed such a site existed, became hooked on this site, and have been contributing ever since.

My hope is to leave a legacy here for my children, grandchildren, and others by adding data and links.

I am not trying to amass large numbers of memorials. I just try to add data and pray it is correct. I have a strong interest in adding memorials from my hometown. I enjoy helping others, and I appreciate that others have helped me.

I create memorials with dignity and respect for those who have passed. I will remove a memorial if it is too sensitive for you, and I will remove photos you do not want on a memorial.

Forgive me for not having all burial locations identified. It takes time to research, some whereabouts are unknown, and some obituaries/mortuaries currently do not list burial or disposition details. Those people still deserve to be remembered here.

Unless one of my memorials is my relative or close friend, I have transferred memorials if you can and will add information. But please do not ask for a transfer and then do nothing with it.

Please let me know if I have an error so it can be corrected.

I appreciate knowing about added posts to my memorials such as photos or obituary clippings that would help me link family members.

I am happy to share gravestone photos with you to use in your family albums.

My wonderful Jiffy has crossed the "Rainbow Bridge". I would love it if you stopped by her memorial. Thanks so much! 🐱

RE: Frahms
It was no problem going out to Greenwood, it's only 2 miles from my house. Greenwood has the complete index available right at the cemetery, wish all cemeteries did that. The only two Frahms in the index were Russell and Wesley, who appear to be sons of Walter and Ella.

No problem reading Lindy's message, I figure public messages get read by anyone passing by ;-)

William Hemmen at Pleasant View, Aplington
I could not send this through the edit tab because both pages belong to other contributors. Would you mind posting William's headstone picture to his wife, Swanetta. She recently passed. Thank you, AGAIN!

David Harken Jr., Pleasant View. Aplington
Could you post your photo of David Harken Jr (1916-1993) to his wife ALMA's memorial also? Thank you. By the way, no rush, and just tell me if I'm pestering you. 😶 I'm just adding little bits to Pleasant View. You and James T. have done most of the work already! 🌟

VanLoh, Jennie & Jans at Pleasant View Aplington
Your Croot family plot photo also shows Jennie & Jans VanLoh's headstone. Would you like to apply it to them? I think it is surely better than no photo.

Alton G. ELLIOTT at Pleasant View Aplington
Saw your request for help. Since you are the creator of the memorial at Oakwood also, you can go to that memorial page and click EDIT of the cemetery (at the bottom left) and change it to Pleasant View Aplington. It will keep all your info and his family links. Once both memorials are "in Aplington" you can apply your Alton ELLIOTT pictures to the newly transfered memorial. I would then eliminate the memorial that has fewest links. You can just add back your newest flowers.

Jiffy Buxton, Memorial
What a beautiful memorial for you beloved family member Jiffy. I am thinking of doing the same thing for our four cats we had for almost 20 years. I noticed that you are managing the Frank and Carrie Swick memorials and wondered if you are related? My husband is the Grandson of Emma Lucinda (Wilson) Bowie who was the Great Granddaughter of Samuel "Bud" Wilson and Louisa Hicks. Please message me if you are related, I have pictures I would love to share.
