Bio and Links
Bio Photo I lost the love of my life 23 November 2015. We worked on this site together. Our daughter helps sometimes too.

PLEASE DO NOT ADD EDITS THAT ARE INCOMPLETE, for example, birthplace/death place is USA or just the state, also if you don't know the exact date for birth or death don't send just the month. PLEASE DO NOT ADD COPIES OF OBITUARIES IN PLACE OF A PICTURE ON MEMORIALS. I take the time to verify your info just to find you took it from a census or the SSDI. If you look at more than one census it often will have different months. Ancestry is NOT always correct. I look up obituaries and often find the person did not die where the SSDI says they did. People often die at a hospital, nursing home or out of state.

I don't mind transferring memorials outside of Find A Grave guidelines but I do mind when people demand transfers or are rude. PLEASE provide your connection, not just"they are a relative" With Ancestry.com having a link to Find a Grave I have had way too many requests like this. I prefer not to transfer outside of guidelines if you have not been a member of Find a Grave very long or don't ""pay it forward " on here, by this I mean adding names other than your relatives or only names from the newspaper and rarely or never adding photos. If I am related I will not transfer. PLEASE include your #. Adding memorials and pictures I have taken takes time as does making edits. No one is perfect!!!

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE PICTURES I HAVE POSTED AND ADD TO OTHER WEBSITES INCLUDING ANCESTRY.COM You can add the link without copying the picture.

We enjoy taking pictures, walking cemeteries and helping family find family they have been searching for. I am very appreciative that someone took the time to put an aunt and two uncles who died as babies onto Find A Grave. I would have never known where they were buried.

Just letting you know that the reason I sent in an edit for his state of birth is because in the genealogy of the Rives family---RELIQUES OF THE RIVES---(page 239), it says that he was born in Virginia---possibly Mecklinburg Co., as thatīs where his parents had come from to Chatham Co. NC.

Requesting Multiple Transfers
I would appreciate it if you would transfer the following to me (nmscot - Find A Grave #47216432).

Mary J. Liay - Find A Grave #88025223 - Mary was my great aunt - she was my gransmother's sister.
Michael B. Liay - Find A Grave #88025190 - Michael was my great uncle - husband of Mary.
Albert D. Liay - Find A Grave#88025133 - Albert was the son of Mary and Michael - my 1st cousin 1X removed.

I realize this is not within the Find A Grave guidelines. I have been doing genealogical work on my grandmother's family and would like to have the family together.

Thank you for your consideration.

RE: David Neal Neall
I have several Davids in the list, but the oldest one b. 1704 Ireland and d. 5/10/1776 in Beaver Pond Branch, Amelia Co., Virginia. His will was dated 6/24/1775 (Willbook #2, p176 in Amelia Co. Wife was Joannah, they were m. about 1730 in Ireland. He would be my 6th great grandfather. You can contact directly at maryann.bumgarner@gmail.com.

May D Brown Slater# 39657336

It appears from looking at the memorial you added for May D Brown Slater that you may have personal knowledge of this family. I am tracing descendants of my Henry line and I am currently researching the children of Mary Allison Brown. It looks to me as though Mary D S (possibly J) Brown and Destuel are the same person. The confusing part is Julia. Do you have records or personal knowledge that the S listed on the census is really a J and that May, Julia and Destuel are all the same person? I hope you do not mind me asking but I try to be accurate with what I add to my Ancestry tree. Just because it is on Ancestry does not make it true and I can not find any records that there was a Julia in this family other that what other people have listed. Thank you for your time and especially for adding this memorial. # 39657336
