I became obsessed with genealogy in about 1995. It is a never ending hobby and a lot of fun. I love tromping around old cemeteries in hunt of my ancestors and helping others when I can. |
I am lucky enough to have my friend Debbie who also enjoys this hobby. Together we have been able to document several cemeteries and are enjoying doing so.
Debbie and I are pleased to announce that we are the County Keepers for Rowan County, North Carolina Find A Grave.
If you should want a memorial transferred to you please do not hesitate to ask. We are glad to transfer. Also, if you know of any links we should make to other memorials, please feel free to let us know that as well. Please be sure to specify if it is a husband, mother or father. And lastly, if you would like a copy of the original photo we are glad to send that as JPG attachment to your e-mail. Just make sure we have the complete name and dates and cemetery of the person, or their memorial number.
It saddens me to say my friend Sharon passed away 5-31-2016 after a battle with ovarian cancer. I will try to keep posting to find a grave as we have plenty of pictures to add. Please excuse any delays in answering messages. I am leaving her picture on our profile as she and I both have many hours invested here together.

I visited and completely photographed the Fisher Family Cemetery, in Autryville, Sampson Co., NC, in October of 2016. I did not see a grave for Nathan Allen Fisher. Is he in an unmarked grave?

Thanks for the obit for Cousin Kenneth Larry McAbee. I rewrote it to conform to Findagrave Rules. If you will delete the scanned obit we will be correct. Also, Are we cousins or what, let me know, regards.
|Record Hunter||RE: Louise McAbee|
I forgot to ask, do you have the obits for Aunt Louise and Cousin Larry. I would love to rewrite them and add them to their memorials. Thanks again and regards.
|Record Hunter||Louise McAbee|
You sent the following:
This obituary is wrong. His first wife (my Aunt Louise)died in Salisbury, Rowan County, NC. His son Larry (my cousin) died in a car crash in Salisbury, Rowan County, NC. Thank you, Debbie Hill
Hello. This Thomas Jefferson McAbee was my Uncle on my mothers side. I have Aunt Louise as having died in NC. I remember many a happy day spent with Uncle J. T. and Louise and my cousin Larry in Chicago, when we lived there. I appreciate your input to their memorials. And keep in touch, regards.
PS: Does this make us cousins or what?
Thanks for trying to find the Peeler grave. I made a note on the memorial it was not found.

I am so grateful to you and all the wonderful volunteers who do this work for us who are searching for family!!!
I'm helping a friend who is searching out her family and John Samuel Crawford is her great-uncle. He was buried in Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Franklin, Rowan, NC. It states that his father is John Woody Crawford. We were just wondering where you got that information as that is not the name of his father--according to my friend. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for searching for the gravestones of John and Pauline Holshouser! We realize it takes a lot of time and effort to try to locate unmarked grave sites.
