As to "AUTOMATIC EDITS", I neither agree with them or think they are of value, however, I subscribe to them because that is the decision of FAG uppercrust. I am on 24K dial-up so checking each claim is not a reality, so I summarily post them;

St. Matthew Cemetery

Disregard my previous message. After further checking it looks like I found what I'm looking for. The St. Matthew Cemetery is 1 mile NE of Carmine on Upshaw Rd and it's actually in Washington County, not Fayette County.

St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church
Hi James,

I have a question and I'm hoping you can help. I noticed that you photographed the St. Matthew Church Cemetery. Do you know if this cemetery was ever called the Carmine Cemetery for African Americans? I'm asking because I found some death certificates on that show the person was buried in the Carmine Cemetery. All of these certificates are for African Americans. I know there's a Carmine Cemetery but I think it only has white people in it. Do you know of any other African American cemeteries in the Carmine area?

Frances Sellers (nee Letson) - THX!
Hi James,

Thanks a ton for looking for Frances Sellers for me. She was the first wife of Isaac Gurley Sellers, who is also buried in Mexia with his second wife ( I had hoped Frances may have been in a nearby or adjacent plot. Frankly, the only evidence I have of her being in Mexia is "couchpotato"s post here ( Aside from that, I have no record of Frances' death or burial. But I'll keep searching!

Thanks again for your help.

RE: Fred Jackson, Henson cem,

I sent the dates through the edit tab. Click on your name or Contributor Tools on the left side of the memorial and then click on edits.

RE: Mexia Cemetery
I don't mind making the corrections on the memorials. When I entered all those memorials from a list, many of them did not have the death dates listed. I am glad you are doing this project. If I still lived in Mexia, I would offer to help.
Keep up the good work!

I know it was a problem but I am mystified as to the lack of info provided by the cemetery. I've got a lot of family in that cemetery and no problems...I appreciate your persistence!

Thank you so much for her gravesite photos. She's the mother of my best friend from high school and I've known her and her daughter, patty, since 1966. I needed to see this.
