I started getting interested in genealogy many years ago and began researching my family in earnest as records started becoming available on the internet. Over time I began to really understand the value of photographing and recording cemetery records. So many gravestones are no longer readable or are missing. Now, when I go to a cemetery, I take photos, not only of my relatives' stones, but also of those near them. I take pictures of as many stones as I can within my schedule. If it is a small cemetery, I try to take pictures of every stone. One of the things that touches my heart the most is children that are buried with no others in their family nearby. These are typically children of families that moved on to other areas. When I see these stones, I always take photos. It may be the only way that the families find out where the child was buried or if they ever existed.

I am always searching for more and enjoy helping others in their research. I love finding the story of families.

Thank you very, very much for the photo of my great-grandfather Fergus Graham's grave that you just posted.

I have only heard about his plot and all that, haven't ever been to Kansas, so this is probably the only time I'd "see" it for myself.

I appreciate your fulfilling this request more than you might know!!

THANK YOU !!!

Thank you for his headstone photo and for taking time to do the rubbings trying to read the scratchings on the rock. I appreciate you taking time to do this for me.

R. A. Johnson memorial and photo
Linda, thanks so much for getting the headstone photo to add to your memorial for R. A. Johnson. This, along with your photo for Willie's face of the same monument, helped me be sure I had the right father for a family I've been researching. As a photo volunteer myself, I appreciate your time and effort to do this work. Creating memorials for people who aren't your kin, as well as fulfilling photo requests, is so helpful in finding members in a family! You're a gem, thank you! -Amy
