I retired as an elementary school principal in 2000. As a person that sleeps only 4 hours a night that leaves 20 hours to fill. Sitting home is not an option. Now, I drive a school bus 5 hours a day and visit cemeteries every chance I get. I have never been to a cemetery that charged admission and seldom is there a crowd. My wife, Sandra, is of a like mind so it works well. We both enjoy the hunt and the thrill that comes with each discovery. Let us know if we can help. If you have additional information on one of my post or you are a relative and want ownership, I will gladly transfer it to you. Just ask. Oh! By the way I go by doc so I know it is F.A.G. So use Doc in the message!|
NOTE: Many times the family plot has names different from those on the headstone. I always attempt to provide a reference point for markers. Hope this is not confusing. I will be glad to post any accurate information on memorials followed by--provided by and your name. If you need an easy way to compute ages check out the website Ann Hamlin shared with me:
Ancestor Search Birthday Calculator.

"If you wonder about your 'roots' you have two parents, four grandparents eight great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations 300 years or so- you had 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended. --Mady Castro

I have been chasing Claude L. Martin for several years. There must be two of them because Claude L. was drafted while living in Columbus, Georgia and was killed in the Battle of the Hedges and buried in Normandy cemetery. I was recently there and visited his grave site.
Please let me know what you know about this individual you have listed as Claude L. Martin.

Steve and I live in Summerville outside of Charleston. We moved back from California about 3 years ago. Where do you live? We would love to get together with you sometime so he could learn more about the Jordan side of his family.

Thank you for the cemetery pic. You continue to amaze me at how much you do. THANKS, AGAIN.

Thank you so much Richard.
I added a photo of my husband to my profile. Everyone says he looks like his father. What do you think?
|Kimberly Sizemore||RE: Sizemore|
Thank you for welcoming me!
My husband (Michael Stephen Sizemore) is the oldest son to I believe, your cousin, Michael Jordan Sizemore. Is that right?
I started working on my husbands family tree when he saw how much information I was getting and wanted some of his own now that his father's side of the family seems to be getting smaller.
Any family photos that you have from the Jordan side would much appreciated.
My MIL was a Jones and we have some stumbling blocks on that side too. I guess everyone's family tree runs into broken branches now again.
Thank you again, and I can't wait to tell my husband I met some of his family!

Can you tell me if there is any additional information on Luther Sizemore besides his headstone and death certificate that is on the site? We are stuck on my husbands family tree on the Jordan/Sizemore side.
Thank you for any help you can give us.

Hi how do I do that? He is my Uncle and I have a lot more but would like your picture. Are you able to merge it?
