Hannon Relative
I believe that we may be distantly related. Would love to learn more about Margaret (even though I'm a descendant of her sister, Elizabeth). Look forward to hearing from you.

I just wrote Find A Grave to merge them! You cannot transfer the photo. Before Ancestry bought Find A Grave you could transfer photo, not now! They seem to want to protect something they did not do! Meaning it is our work not theirs

Julie,
Thank you for the memorial you put on my cousin Sandy's findagrave memorial. She is the granddaughter of Emma Thomas, and I was wondering if we might be related. I look forward to hearing from you. TJ Ashlock Decker Kuester

Thank you for the flower on my1st cousin 2xremoved (Austin J. Camp). Can you share how you are related? Should you have any Gardner dna matches, however remote, I would appreciate your sharing as Susan Reynolds ancestors were ynda Gardner.
Austin had another daughter Susie and I can not find the cemetery, so I will set up a virtural memorial for her.

thank you

Info on Albert Henry Duree
Memorial# 94342058

Hi,
My grandfather was Jack Wayne Duree #66720749. He was adopted by John and Elsie Duree from the Willows Maternity Sanitarium, his birth mother being Hettie Gross (Muckey) 68243750.

Here is some additional information, but I don't know if you want to include any of it.

Through the researcher on the adoption, we believe his parents adopted him because he was the son of John "Jack" Duree, Jr.'s brother Albert Henry Duree. You have noted that he is thought to have had two children born at the Willows (both of John and Elsie Duree's children were adopted).

We also learned that, during the 1920s, he was reported to have had a "wild" reputation and was reported to have made a young lady pregnant on at least 2 occasions, so perhaps Hettie is the birth mother to both?

In the 1930 Federal Census, he is reported to be an inmate in the Bonner County, Idaho jail - apparently for a drunken bar brawl. In the 1940 Federal Census, he is living & working in the mines in Murray, Shoshone County, Idaho. In 1942, he is a patient at the VA Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington, but their records indicate he is still a "resident" of Murray, Idaho.

John "Jack" Duree, Jr. (93773512) was married twice; his first wife was named "Emily L. Duree" per the 1920 Federal Census where they are shown living in Spring Valley, Cherokee County, Kansas, along with his widowed father.

He then married to Elsie Ellen Fannin (93773364) on June 9, 1923. Elsie herself was married twice prior to marrying Jack, with
no children from either marriage (1st husband was named Frank Moffitt - 2nd husband was named Clyde Ball).

Missouri divorce records show Elsie & Clyde were divorced just 2 days prior to her marriage to John "Jack" Duree.

If you happen to come across any photos of Albert or his parents, we would love to see them. We wish we could find photos of Hettie, but so far no joy. I did add a photo of his grandfather and namesake, Albert Harmon Duree. #87448312

Getchell connection ?
I just noticed the Getchell surname on Jerry's maternal side. We could be kin!

I'm descended from Revolutionary War Soldier Seth Getchell of Waterville, Maine through his son Calvin Lumber Getchell.

Check out my Gatchell/Getchell-Schaaf Virtual Cemetery on my profile page and see if any of the names look familiar.

Take care and God bless,
Rich

Another Powell
Hi Julie & Jerry,
Check this one out --> Thomas Powell.

I'm thinking he's probably a brother to your Jesse Powell?

That mostly sunken stone in the background of your photo on Jesse & Susannah's memorials may belong to Thomas.

I would love to go look, but I'm 2400 miles away. ^_^

Let me know if you would like a transfer.

Cheers, Rich
