Hi Scott
I found some of James's family and added them to the Crist cemetery. I found references to it as Christ Cemetery and Charlton Cemetery.
One of the people I added was James's sister, Virginia.
I hope this is helpful.

RE: James W. Gillispie - Crown Hill Cemetery, Clifton Forge, VA
Well, that's what's confusing! It sure looks like 1819, doesn't it? I have a photo I took myself and thought the same - it's a mystery. Thanks for checking.

Are you able to recheck the small obelisque on James and Elizabeth Gillispie's grave? The birth and death dates on James (1819 - 1891) don't seem to reconcile with his age as carved on the stone (seems to me to be 41 plus months and days). Thanks!

Hi Scott,

I have been researching my Gianniny/Giannini ancestors and it looks like this is Charles C. Gianniny born 9 March 1848 and died in 1881. His parents were James Lawrence Gianniny born in Albemarle County in 1822 and Jane Amanda M. Pace born in 1823. This information was from the Second Edition, of The Giannini's of Virginia. dated 1997. As soon as I find out where his parents are buried I will submit an edit to link them.
Thanks for all your contributions to Find A Grave.

RE: James W.Hardy
Do you have a middle name for your James W. Hardy? Mine was Washington. He died in a Charlottesville hospital of typhoid after fighting at first Manassas. Strange coincidence.
