I have been researching my family tree since the early 1990's. My pioneer German relatives originated in Pennsylvania. My grandparents and other family members moved to California after 1918. Our family moved frequently with our fathers job and our relatives are scattered between Canada, California, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.|
My husband's pioneer relatives immigrated from Germany to Kansas in the mid 1800's. They landed in the Mississippi delta and took a steam boat to St. Louis. From there they traveled to northeast Kansas. Primarily farmers, the community consisted of hard working families, living off the soil. Every Memorial Day we visit the graves of my husbands family in rural Kansas. When I began to see all the headstones with family names of people I had heard of, I thought about how I have never seen the headstones for my side of the family. The cemeteries where my husband families reside are located in small, remote, rural areas. I took pictures of all the headstones I could find with family names and then researched the connections on Ancestry.com.
I am still looking for pictures of my relatives headstones. Although I am unable to travel to their grave sites, it is my hope that there are people close to my relatives cemeteries with the same curiosity I have found.
Through FindAGrave.com I have been able to get some pictures of my families grave sites. Thank you and I hope I can return the favor.

Okay. Thanks for answering.

Do you do a lot of work in Lawrence, KS? I am specifically looking for photos of my second great grandparents, who both died in Lawrence. Joseph G Sullivan was a stone mason who did much work on the U of KS, Lawrence, during it's construction. He died July 19, 1916. His wife, Margaret Sullivan was killed by a tornado on April 13, 1911. One of their sons, William R Sullivan, is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sec.4. Memorial# 26774751, but I don't find his parents there. I have not been able to find them anywhere in my search in all of Kansas & Missouri, but since they lived and died in Lawrence, I can't imagine they would be interred anywhere else. Do you have any suggestions? Or is it possible you could get photos of the headstone?
Thanks so much! Terry Sullivan

You're welcome, I'm glad I could help!
No, these are not duplicates but are in fact the same memorials. please look closely at the email I received from you:
Link to memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=36039574
Is this a duplicate #36039574
As you can see, 36039574 is mentioned in both places indicating that these are exactly the same memorial.

|Cathie Dotson||THANK YOU!|
Thank you for posting a photo to Robert Allen Boudreau, as his headstone, however the photo posted is his brother Robert DEAN Boudreau's headstone.
Would you please remove that photo.

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your cemetery photo on my family website. Check it out at www.freienmuth-shortridge.com/shortridge/cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.

Bio Photo Dear Concerned Find-A-Gave Contributors and visitors,
Regarding: DUPLICATE MEMORIALS
A former large volume F-A-G Contributor had a dispute with Find-A-Grave staff
and Deleted some 80% or more, of their contributed memorials, estimated to be
about 40,000 or so. Thus causing the rest of us local Contributors, over the
last year or more, to re-enter those family, friends and distant relatives we
noted were missing.
Once F-A-G had decided to take positive action, they reloaded all the Deleted
memorials from that former F-A-G Contributor, on Wednesday, 25feb2015. F-A-G
staff, undoubtedly knew they would cause tens of thousands of Duplicates, and
assigned their staffer, known as 'ProjectMgr' to work through their Merge
Please be patient and allow F-A-G to work through the entire group of Duplicate
