I am interested in donating the large pension file connected with George L. H. Rice. Much information.
|Heather Stigen||Silas Jackson Jones|
I am wondering if you could correct some information on Silas Jackson Jones
his youngest daughter Effie was born in 1865 per the 1870 census.
I am tracking my ancestors and i believe that this Silas Jones is my ancestor.
Daughter Mary was born to another marriage as well as a son George.
thank you for all you do here!

You're welcome! Petersburg Cemetery is one of my favorite places to visit - very picturesque and peaceful. I have many family members buried there. I'll look forward to hearing from you!

I added a pic to your mem for Alta Hensley Jarrell. Her marker is right next to H. Clay and Lena Hensley (I added mems for both of them). BTW - there are 4 similar stones behind H. Clay and Lena's marker that may be their children? Alta's siblings? (Chester, Izora, Lurena and Mary E.). Do you know who the parents of H. Clay Hensley were? I am a descendant of Clifton Hensley thru his son William (his daughter, Frances, is my GGG Grandmother).

You seem to have done a lot of work at the Petersburg Cemetery in Petersburg, KY. I have many family members buried there (maybe we even share a Jarrell or two!). I was wondering if you have any idea where the burial records for this cemetery may be ? Or who the caretaker is?

May I use the photos that you contributed to the Find A Grave Memorial for Isaac Smith, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Hi Rick, I saw that you had submitted the information for the two wives of Thomas Tuvell who are both buried in Oxford, IN. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GSiman=1&GScid=86318&GSfn&GSln=Tuvell
I am somewhat confused as to why they are buried there since they lived first in Ohio, and then in Illinois. I have one idea, which involves Thomas making himself scarce from Illinois for awhile when he was married to Mary Etta Tuvell. Perhaps she got sick and died there in Benton County and he bought 2 plots intending to be buried there himself in due course. I was quite surprised to see the second wife also buried there, when Thomas himself and some of the family are buried down at Cerro Gordo, Illinois. Do you know if his two wives are buried next to each other? If that was the case then I was would understand that when the second wife died, he used the plot he already had there for her burial. Thanks.
