Bio and Links
Bio Photo If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.

I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.

PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.

PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

Would you please remove the scanned obituary photo from her memorial?

Elizabeth Waite memorial
Good Morning! I'm confused. Elizabeth's obit states she never married, but her death certificate has her as divorced. In addition, I have a marriage certificate where she marries William Taylor Heifner. Any thoughts on this? Ken

RE: Unity
You're welcome! It's been so nice to get out cemetery "hopping" again after this long hot summer. Glad that I could find one of your requests. Barbara

RE: Hume
I tried to move some of it but it was very sharp and my leg in the way was worse 🤣

RE: Varner
I removed the duplicate photo. The one I originally uploaded apparently went astray for a time, since I could not see it last night and Newel Varner still showed in the "claimed" category with no photo. It must have eventually found a home after I uploaded a replacement.
I am going to suggest an edit on the spelling for Mr. Varner's name in Find A Grave, since it obviously has two 'L's on the stone.

RE: Moorhead
You're welcome. We didn't have much time to spend and there's quite a few requests for that cemetery. Glad yours was one that we managed to find!

RE: Coles
Hey Michael, Yes, we did some serious trekking around Coles the other day. I looked again for your Edward Hair and Emma Blystone and suspect there are no headstones. They are not in Dale Roadman's transcription of Coles, but he did miss some stones, so I'll have another look before I give up. You're welcome for the photos! Always glad to help! Barbara

RE: Sarah
You are very welcome for the photo. It was a beautiful cooler day to be out rambling in the cemetery. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know!
