My ONLY intention is to create a HISTORICAL RECORDING of those who are "Gone, but not Forgotten" before their tombstones are lost forever and if that helps YOU find your family, super! |
My paternal gggrandfathers were Alexander Allen (m. Nancy Adeline Branson) AND William Irvin Brewer.
My maternal gggrandfathers were Albert Lafayette Rogers buried in King Cemetery, Franklin Co, Arkansas and John Henry McGee.
Thanks to Teena Cantrell for helping me find my great-great-great grandparents John Pitcher and Polly Allen. And Thanks to Alvin Derby and Betty Taylor Thompson for helping me find Camp Meeting Cemetery where they are buried! What a treasure you are!!! All information about Camp Meeting Cemetery is by John Albert Burnett in the 1920's.
Thanks so much to Linda Creamer Furr who passed away June 2012.
Remember me, as you pass by,
As you are so was I.
As I am you soon will be.
Prepare in Life for Eternity.
Oh Yeah, Meet you at the East Gate!!!

Thanks for the info on the final burial spot for Jerry Carter. I understand that ashes are often buried at a cemetery; I'm so glad we know where that is. If you need the memorial, I can transfer to you.
|Brenda McKee||William Jefferson Locklear (Jessie)|
Hi Frances, found you by way of Ola Mae Locklear Knight/Warren. I have a mystery about my grandfather who I believe is Jessie Locklear. I knew my grandfather by William Jefferson McKay. In my research I have concluded that Jessie Locklear and William McKay are the same person. My grandfather rode into Oklahoma owning only a horse and a saddle bag. This was early 1920's. He married my grandmother Nellie Bailey in 1923. They had 7 children, one was my dad. He is buried in Arizona. I had a few hits from Ancestry dna to Locklears so I know dna doesn't lie but people do. After 1920 Jessie just disappeared and his wife Maude Viola Dawson remarried William Nicholson and they had 3 daughters. There is no mention of his death. I wish I knew why he left his wife and 5 children. If you know anything at all about this mystery, I would be so grateful. Thank you so much. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. I am supposed to be a member of FINDAGRAVE through Ancestry but I can't seem to navigate that. So could you please email me. Thanks again.

Thanks for your reply. I did find a situation in my area where a man had been married to his first wife about 30+ years. She died and he purchased a headstone with his and her name on it. He remarried and lived another 20+ years with second wife. When he died she buried him in another cemetery with a second headstone. Two headstones... same name..different location and wives. This could be that same situation. I'm good with with your explanation. OH.. I did find a third memorial (findagrave) for him. He's everywhere!

I must say "You are so kind and generous"! Thank you for accepting all of the edits I've sent you. If more people were like you it would be a better world. Your photographs are always sharp and Find A Grave is lucky to have you as a volunteer. Thank you for your help.
|David McClellan||Just a Simple Thank You!|
In the past couple of years, I have found your name on most of the memorials of my relatives in Franklin and Crawford Co. Ark. I am so truly in your debt for all the work you have done, that has made my quest so much easier. I thank you..David
