I follow the guidelines set by Find A Grave dealing with Transfers. I will make an exception on a case by case basis. However, those who are rude, or feel they have some kind of right, need not request.
I hate perpetuating errors that eventually get accepted as facts. DO NOT send me a birth date that is only sourced from a census record or is a calculation based on age at time of death.
Thank you to those who have left flowers for my 3 great loves, Dennis, Daddy and Momma .

|Gayle Allen||RE: Clodule|
Thanks for the update. We are spending most weekends out there, as we are finding more and more vets and we are trying to get them all covered for the Wreaths Across America event we have planned for December. I have all the gravestones photographed for the rolls.

You asked me about burials at Lasalle Roman Catholic Cemetery in Sudbury. I live in the United States and chose to begin transcribing records from the photos at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~murrayp/sudbury/sudbury/lasalle because I found most of those records were not listed on Find A Grave. Since Find A Grave is an easier to access and more well-known website, I thought it to be a needed task. Many of the records I've found that say Sudbury RC cemetery are for Lasalle. Sorry that I can't be of more assistance. I have added the information you gave me fore Katherine Solski. Thank you!

Thanks for the information about the family Bible and the Townsend family. I do have pictures of one other sides of the memorial and will post it.

|skellysiam||RE: Wm H Schellenger, 1st_h/o Theda C Cross|
Gee, I wish I had such a positive, helpful response from all the many Find A Grave members I have been forced to talk to over the years.
You have answered all the questions I had re
Wm H and his wives and children. The key data point I was mission was that Raymond Donald and Carol May were the children of Joe Carl and Levo May Keester Thompson
When I looked at Wm H's memorial some years back, and did a brief sweep of the net, I remember reading about the story of his death. Just like Pearl Harbor all over again and a lot of good men lost their lives as a result.
WRT the Land of Smiles (LoS) the place has changed much over the years and not for the better. I'm in my 18th year living in Udon Thani with wife and 18 year old dau.
I really appreciate all you do for the individuals memorialized on Find A Grave. Pls continue your good works.
br, Mike Skelenger
|skellysiam||Wm H Schellenger, 1st_h/o Theda C Cross|
I'm a Schellenger family researcher and have recently become interested in William Harrison Schellenger, (1918-1950) Find A Grave memorial # 75925726, btb the first husband of Theda C Cross.
I have read your comments on the memorial of Theda C and am wondering about the source of these comments:
"Theda was the first wife of William H. Schellenger. The marriage ended in late 1947 or early 1948. There were 3 sons born to this union."
I'm particularly interested in the number and names of the "three sons" you cited. So far, I have found only one son, Raymond Donald Schellenger (1938-2015) and possibly one dau, Carol May Schellenger, (1940-1986).
Although the above cited children are probably the children of William H and Theda C Cross Schellenger, they are referred to (in obits) as children of William and Levo May Keester (1911-2007). I believe Levo M was their step-mother and raised these two children as her own.
I have data-points that show William H married Theda C in 1940 (two years after the birth of son Raymond Donald Schellenger) and also Levo May Keester Thompson in 1949.
I would appreciate any info you might have re the situation described above,
s, Mike Skelenger
|Carolyn Boyle||RE: Caroline Redding|
Thank you for your service in maintaining these sites.
Do you want information on Caroline's other sibs? They are not all on findagrave.com.
Also, you might want to know that she died of the "Spanish flu", the 1918 influenza pandemic, when my father was an infant.
In addition to James B. Redding, her other two children were:
Katherine Angel Redding (29 Aug 1914-1991)
Robert Earl Henry (23 Dec 1914-5 May 1990) buried in Pennsylvania
Spouse 2: Morris Miller (30 Nov 1899-15 May 1990)
Grace Margaret Redding (10 Aug 1915-11 Sep 2002) buried in Louisiana
Spouse: George Anthony Rizzo (18 Sep 1911-Apr 1990) buried in Louisiana
|George Del Monte||RE: John Halpin's whereabouts|
Now, that was funny. Merry and I lived in Slidell, LA for 30 years so we know all about the older, buried coffins floating about in Nawrleans until they realized it was better to put them above ground. As soon as we get the word back from the only one (Allison) for which we have an eMail address and a telephone number, I'll get back to you - with whatever I learn.
|George Del Monte||John Halpin's whereabouts|
Dawna, in updating my genealogy database, I came across information that John James Halpin had died and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, New York. So I went to his memorial page (#171279323) and clicked on the button to request a photo of his gravestone. A Find A Grave volunteer went to the cemetery and came back saying the cemetery said John was not buried there. I'm perplexed. I've asked my wife to contact one of John's wife's sisters to ask if she knows where John's buried.
|Rick||Sarahs' birthday questioned.|
I do not know the correct birthday so I erased what was there, 1805. sorry.
