Updated 2024: I have adopted several memorials from deceased, overworked, or inactive members. One was a photo volunteer whom I kept in touch with. Most are of no personal importance to me. Please ask me, if you know any of them, and you may have it transferred to you. Yahoo! can have technical issues with Windows 10, so I sometimes have to use different devices to access my email account. I use a desktop computer, and also access my email directly from the web from my phone or a Kindle Fire. However, sometimes, I may access my email from a Kindle Fire, which is registered in my mother's name, as I do not own a credit card. I use an abbreviation of my name, as an homage to author A. A. Milne, and for greater privacy on my public Find A Grave page, but usually give my real first name in emails, unless I just plain forget to. Please be kind. If I contact you, please know that I am acting with the best of intentions for the site and fellow contributors. I always try to be as respectful to the opinions and feelings of others as possible. I quite enjoy most of the recently added features, and would like to stay on the site as long as everyone wants me here. If I have made an error, I will correct it. I don't mind, but if you do indeed copy them, I would appreciate a credit under my Find A Grave or real name. If you ask, I might have something you would like better to show you. Gravestone pictures may be used wherever you wish, but I would appreciate my Find A Grave or real name being mentioned, if someone else needs a clearer copy. Often, I do not list exact causes of death, as they are too unfortunate and/or disturbing to list. For this reason, I would prefer death certificates not be posted on memorials I create and/or manage. It seems disrespectful, and the information on a death certificate is often inaccurate when it comes to birth dates, etc. In most cases, I choose to list nothing at all, as I wish to be truthful, yet sympathetic to those still living. I do list causes of death if a family member of the deceased has asked me to. In certain situations, I do not know what the exact cause of death was. I am an Iowan, with roots in Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, England, Ireland, Norway, and Germany. I also have cousins, both living and deceased, in Washington state, Oklahoma, Nebraska, California, Colorado, Oregon, Ohio, Arizona, Florida, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. I have a few family connections to other countries. My current and future listings consist mainly of family, close friends, and some friends of friends. Sometimes it is an infant or small child found in the newspaper or a local funeral home online. If anyone wants to know more about me, carefully view my many listings. I could be called a historian in general. If they are not of personal value to me, I will gladly transfer any of my listings to family or friends of the deceased. Cemeteries and the like have fascinated me since I was a mere 7 years old. Please refrain from posting scanned obituaries on the memorials that I originally created and/or manage. If I should get messages asking me to remove something, I cannot personally remove anything I did not post. I would prefer that online photographs that accompanied the obituaries not be posted for the same reason. If there are errors on memorials that I created, I am not always aware of it. Information may be outdated, etc. Many people do not want their names listed in an obituary, so unless I know the family doesn't care, I no longer post obituaries in full. If it is my family, I may not want pictures of the deceased posted here, depending on my relationship to the person, and someone else viewing the memorial page may feel the same way about seeing their close family members photograph on the website, when it was only intended for funeral home use. I have been seeing postmortem images accompanying obituaries more and more of late. I would prefer to be notified if you want to post pictures from the funeral home websites.
