RE: Lewis Graves
Thanks so much for your offer to go back to Almer Cemetery! Please notice that there is quite a mystery surrounding this memorial. Allie is listed as passing away in 1893, when her mother was 55. But it also says that there is an inscription listing her as 5 months 12 days old! Anything you can learn from the headstone would be so helpful!!

RE: Edit on Amos Ellis
I had noticed the comment, so that is why I added the information about Orrissi. As the family genealogist, I have run across those kinds of errors on Find A Grave and Ancestry; if no one bothers to make any corrections, many trees are in error.

Looks like a great Sunday in our part of the country. We are about to leave for church.

Have enjoyed working with you on this little project.

Best always,

RE: Edit on Amos Ellis
Actually, Amos Jay Ellis is the son of Ora and Abeline.

No need to transfer it, as we are very distant relatives.

RE: Edit on Amos Ellis
I have been researching the Andrews family for a couple who stopped at the Shiawassee County archives.

Yes, Amos Ellis was married twice:

Orrissi Naomi ANDREWS
b. Nov 1894, MI
d. 1 Feb 1921, Bay Co., MI
bur. Heavenly Rest Cemetery-Kawkawlin, MI
& Amos Jay ELLIS
b. 2 Jun 1893, Branch Co., MI
d. 14 Nov 1971, Bay Co., MI
bur. Heavenly Rest Cemetery-Kawkawlin, MI

If you are related, I would be glad to share what I have just prepared. E-mail me directly.
