~♥~♥~ Rest In Sweet Peace, My Blue-Eyed Handsome Man, I'll Love You Forever ~♥~♥~

For almost 2 years, I have not been able to stay up to date with Edit Requests and Transfer Requests via my personal email. I was caring for my recently deceased (Jan. 31, 2017) love of my life, James Richard Hayes, Jr. who had suffered a severe stroke, from which he never recovered, and a year later was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer. I will be doing my best to "catch up" on all the requests, as I still have all of your emails, but it is going to take some time. Please bear with me. Thank you!
I have been doing family research for a little over 40 years now (began in 1976). I originally started working mainly on my LOCKLIN family. Over the years I have expanded my work on various family lines. Currently I am focusing on the following:

My Paternal Lines:
LOCKLIN, FOKES, McLENNAN, FULCHER, MERCER, ZACHRY, GUTHRIE, BURKE, SMITH, LARGE, PAGE and many others connected to these surnames.

My Maternal Lines:

My Sons' (Trent & Terry) Paternal Lines:

My Granddaughter's (Kayrinn) Maternal Lines:

My Grandson's (Colby) Maternal Lines:

My Very Significant Other's (JR) Lines:

If you are related to any of these lines, please contact me.
I have created a LOCKLIN group page on Facebook titled Descendants of Samuel Locklin (1744-????). If you are a descendant of Samuel Locklin, please contact me on Facebook so I can add you to the group page. Currently, we over 360 descendants in the group. We are sharing photos, stories and other information on the group page. It is a "private" group which is by invitation only and only those in the group can read the posts and information and view the photos added there.
My profile name on Facebook is:
Sarah Locklin Taylor.

RE: Mattie Routon 26218035
Sarah, that is what I was going to do today, make the links between all of James Jefferson Routon's kids and his memorial. Thanks for doing that.
Don't you love Find A Grave

Ivan Routon has been connected to Miss Mattie Routon as her son. Do not believe this connection is correct. Miss Mattie Routon never married. Can you remove Ivan from Miss Mattie's memorial?

Sarah...I got your message, and I appreciate your gracious offer to transfer management of a memorial. I cannot locate the "manage" link, so I apologize for requesting this the hard way!
I'd like to manage the memorial for Kate "Katherine" White if she is not a family member of yours. She is a direct ggrandmother of my children. I'd like to be able to link her to other family member.

Thank you again for your help.

Sarah....I have a transfer request, but it can wait. I also have lost a loved one recently and understand the upheaval life takes during this time...especially as a caregiver. I found that Find a Grave became sort of a place to go of solace where I could do something constructive on my own pace. My prayer is that you answer the emails on your own timing....and let it help you heal without pressure. You've done so much for so many already....we can wait. Take care and God Bless you.

I just saw your post about your husband. Prayers are with you. I lost my husband to cancer.

If you have any contact with the Mercer or Dubose families (Mary Jane Mayo Allen), we are still trying to get information about James Washington Allen (what happen to him?).

Gray Family Line
Just an FYI note. You ask us to contact you if we shared any of your family names. Of course, Gray is such a common surname...almost like Smith.

There was a Gray family from Butler County, KY who settled in Burleson County, Texas before 1850. As far as I know, most of this family left Burleson Co by the early 1870s and wound up in Ellis County. I do have information on a Charles Gray who married Susannah Bilbo. They settled in Butler County, KY prior to 1800. She was of French Huguenot ancestry.

Her ancestor was Jacques Billibeau who sailed from London to James City, VA. on board the "Mary and Ann" accompanied by 3 other ships carrying a total of over 500 French refugees. He arrived in VA. on the 23rd of July 1700 after approximately 13 weeks. Jacques Billiebo was in "Ye first Shippe" which was the "Mary and Ann". This colony was a gift by the King of England to the French protestants who supported England in the 30 years War with France. Because this was a Royal Colony, the paperwork documenting the passengers and their first two generations in Virgina was exceptional.
