I am a retired high school math teacher and have been doing geneaology for almost 30 years with extensive research on my extended family. I have traced some lines back to the early 1600's with almost all lines into the 1700's. My family is all from either the Pfalz in Germany or from the counties of Carmarthenshire, Glamorganshire, Breconshire and Monmouthshire in Wales, and Gloucestershire in England. All of my lines settled in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The vast majority of my family is buried in Pittston Avenue Cemetery, Abington Hills Cemetery and Washburn Street Cemetery. Although many of my submissions are those of family members and family friends, many more are cemeteries that I have walked and recorded or graves near those which were photo requests. Sometimes I just walk cemeteries to record what is there. Even the best kept cemeteries have stones that are eroding and decaying. If we don't record this information that is there, it may disappear forever, as so many stones have.|
I am not territorial. I post photos and information for everyone to share. I don't understand those who feel that they "own" information in a cemetery that is clearly there for to see. We all live in different places. How great it is to be able to share what is close to our homes with people from all over who can never visit a cemetery in person. Feel free to use any family photos for your personal use. It is not necessary to give me the credit. Just don't use them for profit. I abhor people who profit from the stolen work of others.
Although I welcome any corrections that you may find on my submissions and look forward to hearing from any family members or anyone else who is just plain interested, please do not contact me if you are not willing to leave your name. I don't deal with anonymous or someone hiding behind another name. I will happily transfer ownership of any page to any family members who politely ask, but please do not involve me in any family squabbles. I do this to help others and for fun. Let's keep it fun. If you send me obituaries, please include the newspaper name, date, and page number. Without that information, I will not add the obituary.

|J L Serrao||Correction: Doris J. Cronkite: Find A Grave Memorial #70541218|
I just want to let you know that the following
Doris J. Cronkite

Your Doris J. Cronkite, I believe is Doris Mulcahey, Cronkite the first WIFE of my Uncle Arthur who lived in Sidney, NY (BROTHER To my Aunt Doris).
Arthur LaVerne Cronkite

death: 03 Apr 1973
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
I was just going through some old documents which led me to the memorial for Elias Hurlbutt (60577737) and I noticed that you referenced a DAR document. I have never come across a DAR record for him or anyone in his family. Would you be willing to send me the link? I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks so much,
|Janet Long||Adam Bieber Jr|
I believe that Adam Bieber Jr. was buried in Dunmore Cemetery, not Petersburg Cemetery. I was there 5 years ago and saw it, quite a large marker. At That time I did not know that his father was the brother of my 2nd great grandfather. The cemetery caretaker was helping us find family graves and he has computerized records. Thank you. I am trying join the DAR and William D Clark is my grandfather. On the information sheet it says William A. Clark. I need help. Thank you Sonja Woodruff firstname.lastname@example.org
|Carl Reisinger||Anna Mazzanti|
I've updated Anna's memorial with date and location of birth if you don't already have them.
I'd also like to understand your interest in Anna, because, well, Mazzanti, and I don't find many researching that family.
There is also Price and Davis, yet more family lines I seem to share with you (although mine settled in Wilkes-Barre).
I had sent you an email last night and we could continue this conservation that way.

Thank you for the clarification, I have made the correction.

|Jonathan Laing||RE: East Benton Cemetery|
Sorry your photo of the cemetery is correct. It is the ones above that make no sense.
|Jonathan Laing||East Benton Cemetery photo you took|
I was out looking for this cemetery today and the coordinates that this points to do not match the photos of the cemetery. I walked the entire site. Could you help me locate this for future reference. I recently found some older Mattesons that were buried there but I need better directions on this.
|Ruth||Mabel C Frederick Keiper|
Could you please tell me how you arrived at the part of the note you included on her memorial page: "Daughter of William and Mary Ashley Frederick."?
I have the death certificates of siblings of a Mabel Frederick where other siblings were the informants and claimed William Frederick and Mary Ashley as the parents. Two died childless in old/middle age, and Mabel just seemed to vanish after the 1910 census. This is the first nibble of someone who may be my Mabel Frederick . . . wow!
