HBE (Harold Elston) passed away in February 2017. It was his desire that I, his sister, Nan (#46824729) inherit his memorials. Feel free to contact me and I will gladly answer questions, do edits, etc. |
A big "thank you" to all who answered his photo requests and to those who sent a thank you for the many photos he took. He was a diligent researcher who enjoyed creating memorials, not only for his own family, but for the many folks in the cemeteries he visited. He will be missed.
My brother's memorial is Find A Grave Memorial# 175942323
You may contact me at email@example.com or leave a public message here.

She is a cousin of mine through marriage into the Kritzberger family. I would be happy to take over maintenance if you wish.

Thank you for your edits to the Winthrop cemetery memorials. I invite you to send info for the bio section (via edit -> suggestion links). -Zoe
I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of my sweet 2C1R, Harold, your dear brother. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
When we missed meeting him during our brief time driving through Pennsylvania two years ago, I sensed we never would get the chance. I knew he was struggling with some health issues, and I marveled at his good cheer and candor about it all. I will treasure the memory of his phone calls to our home, digging for information about his favorite topic, genealogy!!
I would love nothing better than to keep in touch with you. Besides, we share a birthdate!! ☺
Prayers and blessings to you and yours as you cherish the memory of your beloved Harold. I will miss him, too.

Thanks for the confirmation. I have a feeler out for their family Bible which might still exist (it was willed to their family history buff in the 1930s).
your brothers photo on the contributors page makes me smile. Everyone deserves flowers. Some loved ones leave gaping holes that can't be filled, he watches over you always with that smile.

Stephen's mother was Mary Benscoter. His father, Bradley Harrison, didn't marry Mary Wilson until after his first wife died in 1873. See Bradsby's History of Luzerne County, PA.

I've been going back through my research and updating the FindAGrave information where applicable.
Based on the census information and death certificate, Almeda's maiden name was HOWARD. I have not been able to find her parent's names or marriage information.
