Bio and Links
I became interested in genealogy after my Father passed away. I felt a need to "find my roots". Find a Grave has been so helpful to me in my search. Obituaries hold a wealth of information, and often allow me to find a "link" to reconnect parents and families.

If you are related and I have a memorial for one of your loved ones, please contact me by clicking on the edit tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial and then clicking the suggest a correction link to ask for a transfer. Connecting families, both past and present, is what it is all about!!

Dear Jane, in regards to your Find A Grave profile (#171923451) for GM Robert Paul Burr, USNR, I also have a Find A Grave profile (#106620905) for him on the East Coast Memorial. Robert was buried at sea. A memorial to him is on his mother and father's headstone. You can use the information I have for him on your profile that you have established for him. Hopefully in May his name will be added to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Memorial, Eglin AFB, Florida. My email: sgmmvining@gmail.com Thanks, Mike

Hi, I suggested a correction for my mother as to the place of death. She died in Cody, Wyoming. She had moved there, from Chattanooga, a few months before her death.

Willie Carlos Buck
Hi Jane ...

I see that you created the page for Willie Carlos Buck. You transcribed an obit for him, but did not cite the source or date, and I wondered if you have that information.

I've tried, without success, to find a newspaper record of his passing.

My E-mail address is: john.buck.jr@usa.net

Are you related to this family?

Thanks.

John

Charles R. Smith
Hi Jane!

I was curious about your relation to or knowledge of Charles R. Smith. I noticed you put he served 20 years in the Navy. I was interested in knowing more about Mr. Smith service during WWII. I know he served as a Chief Commissary Steward from 1929 to 1947. 18 years. Do you have any military photos of him? Please let me know! Thanks!

Gordan Aaron
Hi,
Wasn't Gordon born here in Madison Co? Philip & Joyce lived here when he was born, but I didn't come to Anderson till he was about 7 or 8. I guess he could have been born in Indy.

Hi Jane,
Thank you so much for taking & posting the photo of Gordan's stone. How did you ever find him? I couldn't remember where he or his dad, Philip, are buried. I ask some of the family in KY & they couldn't remember either. They lived in Markleville, so that's where I placed them until I can talk to someone who would know.
You're a trooper,
God Bless,
Nancy
