|I am a retired medical radiation physicist. I became interested in genealogy after attending a family reunion in 1997. I am in the process of collecting family tombstone pictures as a "primary" source of information. I put primary in quotes because I have found several dates on the stones that do not match those in books, birth certificates or bible records. I am also collecting birth, marriage and in some cases death certificates (family, aunts, uncles etc.)as primary sources.|

I received a message that you had sponsored Vaden Fitton's memorial. I would be happy to transfer him to your care if you would like.

Thanks Ken for pointing out I had put the wrong month and day for his death I corrected it. I make mistakes, I was putting a lot of them in at that time & just put the wrong month and day for death, guess I should have checked closer, but someone always lets me know. Sorry for the mistake. Again Thanks for letting me know.
Can't put the name that way. The way the blanks are to put name in next to last is maiden name and then last name. If I put McQuire and the Sandlin it would have to go in last blank as McQuire Sandlin, which would look right just looking at it.
Problem being it will not search at all. It will look at the name as McQuireSandlin all one name. It will not come up for someone searching Sandlin or McQuire. It then throws the name way off the list when someone looks in the cemetery at names it will not be next to either name. Maiden name can only go in the maiden name box, and last name can only have one last name. The only other spot is the middle name box which the reads it as Mary McQuire Denton Sandlin. That's how most of the people put it in if they want both married names to show, otherwise only the last name the person died with can go on it.
Capt Nicolas Martiau
Jane Page Martiau (1593 - 1640)
Elizabeth Martiau Reade (1615 - 1686)
Elizabeth is not the daughter of Jane Page.
Elizabeth was born in 1615. She came to the Colony aboard the "Francis Bona Venture" with her father:
"Arrival Jun 1620, age 5. Elizabeth, oldest daughter or Nicolas (Niccolas) Martiau (Martur)had crossed the ocean with her father. ABOUT VIRGINIA, PROMINENT FAMILIES, VOL. 1-4 Compiled biography of prominent families in Virginia."
Jane Page arrived from England in 1621 on the ship 'Seaflower (Seafloure)' with husband Lt. Edward Berkeley and daughter, Sarah.
Jane was the second spouse of Nicolas.
|Betty Lou (Pinkerton) Fulmer||Re: Elizabeth Wagner|
Hi Betty Lou,
Could this Elizabeth R Shingleton be William's second wife? The grave marker has
Elizabeth J with the dates 1841 - 1904. My daughter-in-law's family has
Elizabeth J Crouse as William's wife which seems to match the grave marker. If
you have further information, please let me know.
WAGNER, William - 1836 - 1926
WAGNER, Elizabeth J. - 1841 - 1904 - w/o William
All info I have is that Elizabeth is Williams's wife and I put an R instead of a J in bio.

My source was a cemetery list--but what the source for that was I just don't know. I'll change his birth year to 1922 until someone else comes along with further info.

Kenneth, I have made corrections to Lucy Garlick's memorial# 40563526. I had found family trees on Ancestry showing her birth in King William Co. Some of the trees also showed her born in the town of King William. and one showed her death was in Hanover Co.
I live in King William. Let me know if there is any cemeteries you would like me to visit for you.
