I'm an amateur family genealogist researching my family and my husbands family. I have researched my ancestors through several US states, Canadian provinces and across the pond to Europe. |
Most of my family were regular folks: immigrants, farmers, teachers, ministers, homemakers, military veterans, and such. That said, I do have a couple links to "history" - I am a descendant of Richard Warren of the Mayflower [through his daughter Anna], and of Deacon Samuel Chapin [through his son Henry].
I have been able to visit some of the places my ancestors lived and were buried. The photos I have I gladly share with others who are interested. The places I have not been, I rely on the kindness of others to share with me.

Thank you for answering! My great uncle is buried next to John Marshall, that is why I couldn't believe John and Viola had divorced. I don't understand why Paul in the cemetery, but not Viola. Some organization had been managing the cemetery records and apparently they are a mess. The lady I talked to was very nice and did a lot of research for me. There is a burial permit for Paul and he is located between John and Ester Marshall and Ruth Maxine Brockman. Viola died 2 years before Paul. I would appreciate your passing along anything you uncover, if I find anything, I will let you know too! I did find Paul's second wife, looks like maybe Viola's brother's daughter????

Hi, I see you are related to John Marshall, do you know where his wife Viola is buried? My great Uncle Paul is buried next to John Marshall and he was also married to Viola Roberts. It looks like John and Viola divorced and John remarried Ethel and Viola remarried Paul. Paul is buried next to John and Ethel and Viola is unaccounted for. Do you know anything about my great uncle, Paul Raymond Dienstel? I made him a Find a Grave memorial, if you want to see if you know anything about the mystery. :)

Hello, your great grandparents are my husband's great grandparents, too. Their daughter, Maude Casey, grandmother, her son William Casey, Sr and my husband William Casey, Jr. We lived nest door to Grandma Maude when my husband returned home to Covington, KY after his service in the Air Force. We had 2 daughters and Grandma Maude loved them so much and was a wonderful woman. I only wish I would have asked her more questions about her family. She did tell me many stories about meeting Tom Casey, her husband and their early married life on the farm. Grandpa Tom left farming and worked for the Union Light, Heat and Power Co. in Covington for many years.
James Thomas Casey 1863-1940
Maude Marshall Casey 1884-1961
I have memorials for them and for your great
grandparents John and Polly Marshall.
