you left notes on both Nancy and Flora's grave site.My family [Simmons,Barnes and Cranford] came to Georgia from North carolina. That must be the connection.Do you connect to any of these family names?

RE: family member
Nancy Cranford"s #48075071.Flora Sullivan is buried in the same cemetery.
James Leonard Cranford is buried at Pleasanthill Freewill church cemetery in Unidilla,Ga.Popie Sullivan[Daughter of Nancy and Mother of flora]Is buried next to her father James L. Cranford with no info except her name.I have the newspaper clipping of the lighting strike which occured on Aug 18,1912 in Macon,Ga.Mr James Leonard Cranford is my great grandfather and Nancy is his second wife.My grandmother Julia I think is buried in Cranford-Stokes-Barnes cementery in twiggs Co.There is an infant son born to James Leonard and Julia Cranford buried there,so I believe the "Julia" buried there must be my Great grandmother. No info is given.
How do you fit into this family?

RE: family member
My great stepgrandmother[wife of Leonard cranford]
was struck by lighting[along with her grandaughter Flora Sullivan]and both were killed.Mr Cranford was married to my great grandmother Julia before he married Nancy[Green} .He along with another grandchild[Virginia, sister of Flora]were both there but were spared. My grandmother was Laura [Fannie]Cranford Simmons, daughter of Leonard and Julia Cranford. Please write if you have any more questions.

Not a problem. Are you the same person that has worked lots of my Marshall relatives in NC? If so we have "talked" many times.

FAG # 37085328 Dunbar R. Ransom Civil War Service
May I use the photo that you contributed to the Find A Grave Memorial for Dunbar R. Ransom, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
He was a credit to Norwich, Vermontfor his service and was Brevetted for "Gallant and Meritorious Service" in August of 1864.I would love to see him recognized on the site, among his many "Old Comrades".
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.
