Franco family grave in coamo
Thank you for your quick respond it's greatly appreciated. If possible YES it would be greatly appreciated if you can take a picture of my grandfather Manuel Franco Aponte b. 1892 d. 1971. He his buried ( according to his daughter)in Santa Catalina 1 in Coamo. My grandmother is in Cementerio Catolico in Coamo. Her name was Maria Franco Melendez b.1900 (?) d 1942. ( my grandparents were 1st cousins & never married. Their father's were Franco brothers) If possible if you are going to be in that area her parents Romauldo Franco Robles 1869-1929 (?), & Celedonia Franco Melendez
( Santiago) 1870-1955(?) according to their death certificate they are buried in the Cementerio Civil in Coamo. If you can take pictures of their grave it would be such a peace to me. My grandma Maria Franco Melendez died in 1942 when her sons were serving WW2!& my father the youngest was 4. She left behind 4 children under 10yrs & they never knew what she died of or were she was buried & if she has a tombstone. After doing research I found her death certificate & she died of Uterus Cancer & it states her body is buried in Cementerio Catolico, Coamo. I don't know if she had a stone or marker so you finding her tombstone will bring peace to our family & I can go to PR & surprise her last child of eight who is battling cancer in Coamo, to her grave & bring peace to her before she departs. Thank you a million for your time & dedication.Blessings

Nicasio Robles
Hello Leilani,

I believe, we may have some commons within our family trees!

I located your find-a-grave Memorial for Nicasio and through your Bio, was able to add parents! Thank you, so much! I would love to collaborate and share my descendants with you, as well as, possibly coonnect another Robles branch through DNA matches, from this branch to the other branch!

my email is

here is a link to Nicasio in my Geni Family Tree!

And here is a link to the Robles, I am trying to connect to Nicasio´s branch, too.

More Information
Hi, Leilani

If you wouldn't mind, I have another question about the cemeteries in P. R. There are two municipal cemeteries in Aibonito. One is Cementerio Municipal 1 (formerly Cementerio Municipal del Campito), and the other is Aibonito Municipal Cemetery. My question is which one is older? I have someone who passed away in 1904, but I'm not sure which one to place them in. The other one passed away in 1977.

Thanks for your help!

Can you tell me the difference between these Ponce cemeteries: Cementerio Civil de Ponce, Cementerio Municipal de Ponce, Municipal de Canas, Municipal Nuevo...I see all of these listed on d'c's, but they are quite confusing. The photo of El Cementerio Civil shows that the front actually says "MUNICIPAL." Can you tell me which one is which?
