I've been working on my family genealogy since about 1970, so I've spent a whole lot of time in cemeteries around Tennessee. My mom and I visited seven in one day! I certainly appreciate the work of cemetery photographers who save me a lot of time and travel to distant cemeteries. |
I specialize in photographing graves in and near Tullahoma, Coffee County TN. My particular interests are Bethany, Oakwood, and Maplewood cemeteries, though I do occasionally venture out to others when time, weather, and snake season permit. (I don't do Rose Hill, however.) I am currently working on a project to photograph all graves at Bethany and Maplewood. I also help maintain the old historic church and cemetery at Bethany. You can find us on Facebook at "Bethany Church and Cemetery". Please "like" us.

Dear Patricia . My name is Ronnie Hodge and my Great Grandfather & Great Grandmother are buried in Bethany Cemetery. There is no head stone but when i was there in the early 1990's my father showed me where they are. There was two small flat brick markers. They were located up front close to the flag pole . Basically were people park there cars at. He passed in 1941 & she did in 1939 . His name was Francis Marion Hodge but everyone called him Uncle Babe . Her name was Mary Agnus(Drake) Hodge . I also have a aunt named Joann Hodge buried beside them . It's not marked either. There's a Clementine Carroll buried there. This is My Great Grandfather sister. I have done quite a bit of family history. My Great Grandmother went to church at Bethany. I have a favor to ask. The next time your at the cemetery could you look for there graves. There was alot of my family around that area. I know my Great Grandparents lived on Goatridge over looking the Duck River. I posted some pictures on the web site of them . Thanks for your time .
Thanks for the headstone photos at Maplewood Cemetery of the Mann Family. I will pay it foward

No relation - I inherited that memorial, but I'll gladly make any corrections necessary.

No, I'm trying to play catch up and photograph the memorials I created. It gives me some fresh air and exercise. There's at least a hundred memorials at Concord, that hasn't been created yet.

I didn't realize there was a request out at Concord Cemetery for Norma and Nuburn Tatum. I was out at Concord Cemetery yesterday and took their headstone photos.
No need to make a special trip and take photos of them.
