Bio Photo The Duxbury Senior Center Genealogy Club was founded September 2006. Our mission is to educate and assist area residents with their family history.

Each year we host " Thanksgiving Genealogy", an open house where anyone can stop in, pick up genealogy chart forms, meet with our members to fill-in what family history they do know and we write out what family history they should inquire about at their family Thanksgiving Gathering! We encourage these folks to come back with the forms and start their genealogy quest. Our club meets every Tuesday afternoon 1-3pm. We have a facebook page which posts our genealogy special meetings.

RE: William Peters gravestone
Uploaded two more photos, cannot read the stone clearly.
The photo is clearer than looking at the stone in person due to its condition.

Mary E. Mann
I received your message regarding a obit. for Mary. When I entered the info. from the Amityville Record, I got it on a website,, they only give a brief description of what appeared in the paper, but did not give me a full obit. You may have to contact the Amityville Public Library to find a full obit for Mary (631-264-0567). Sorry couldn't be more help :)

RE: Thomas LEA
The information on him is based from a list of marker transcriptions of those buried there. It has been a few years since I've visited Charlestown Cemetery but I am planning a visit later this spring. Hopefully I'll come across a marker for him then. I have updated the spelling of his surname as you suggested.

RE: Are you still active?
Your website is awesome! I've added it to my Sources for ancestry, and am looking through it to add to my Citations and such! Very nice!

I look forward to visiting you all in the fall!
