Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am well aware of the FAG guidelines. I take pictures of every stone in the cemetery. Therefore I have no way of knowing if the person is still living. I mean no disrespect by adding them.

Everyone deserves to be recognized with a memorial. Please keep in mind that deaths are public record. Cemeteries are also public.
I will be more than happy to add family links. Please just send request through the edit on each memorial, instead of asking for transfers.

Findagrave is doing a great service for us and I appreciate it. So please, remember that we are all in this for the same reason. To help others and pay tribute to all those who have gone on before us.

Please do not ask for transfers if you are researching family surnames. That isnt fair to the actual descendants.
Please send a message through the edit, on each memorial. That way I can find the memorials quickly. If they are in my family tree at all, I may choose not to transfer them.

Thanks for your reply. When I copied your headstone photo to memorial no. 7789555, I did add a note giving you credit for the photo and stating where it came from. Since you added the picture, I deleted the one I moved. I have submitted an edit to memorial no. 7789555 to change the cemetery to Brewers Cemetery, Brewers, Marshall County, Kentucky. It's a bit confusing having two Brewers Cemeteries just a few miles apart across the county line between Calloway and Marshall counties. Thanks again for your help.

RE: New Providence African
Ah. Anyways, about the abandoned community. There isn't much left of it. Just some bricks and tools as well as a severely overgrown gravel road. In a book titled "Calloway County Family History," in the section about New Providence, it says that there was a black community near Big Rock (the author may have been talking about a large rock that's barely hanging onto the side of Lax Creek) and that the blacks and whites got along well.

New Providence African Cem.
Do you happen to know where this cemetery is at? Because there is an abandoned black community in the woods near New Providence.

I was doing some research for a dear friend, Frankie Thomas Edwards Robertson, and saw that she is erroneously listed as dead. She is very much alive. She was ordained as a minister on 12-29-57. She did not die on that date. Please refer to the picture of the tombstone for this information verification. Thanks so much for all you do. Melanie Cox.

Memorial Trasfer
Hi Kathy,
Concerning Find A Grave Memorials at Sinking Springs Cem.(James T. Parker: #25761698), (Mary E. Parker: #25761690), and (M.V.C. Parker: #25761683). James T. Parker is my GG-Grandfather, M.V.C. Parker is his first wife Melvina Forrest Parker and my GG-Grandmother, and Mary E. Parker, James's second wife Mary "Mollie" E. Williams Parker. I have just recently found out about his second wife and have always been confused about who Mary was. James married Molly 10 August 1884, Henry Co., Tn. My grandfather took me out to Sinking Springs back in the late 70's and showed me his grandparents tombstones - which I took, and still have - pictures of those stones. They are Melvina (M.V.C.) and James T. I had written on the back of the photos of the tombstones as to who they were. I am planning a trip to the cemetery soon to make sure of the death date for Mary "Molly". I need to make sure that the stone reads that she died 1873. I recently found a death certificate for her and it states she was born 20 May (and the year was scratched out) 73 yrs, 11 mos, 26 dys. She died 16 April 1916. It states her parents are Williams a & Ayers. This would also make her my 3rd great-grand Aunt. Could you please transfer these three memorials to me. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Kathy, thank you so much for posting this marker photo for cousin Mary Agnes.
Is it possible you might have another picture that has more kb's or even mb's? When I downloaded this photo to view it more closely it was blurry.
Thank you for all you do,

RE: JM Miller
Hey Kathy,
I have absolutely no doubt that your memorial is 100% correct so don't change a thing. The other contributor doesn't even have a headstone with initials matching James Morgan and Nancy. I was thinking I would recommend adding the parental and spousal links to your memorial. Is this really that cutthroat that a contributor cannot step back and admit they made an error? How strange. Anyway, thank you for all your hard work. I am in awe of the people who invest so much to help others find their families.
