Joseph Allen Family Graveyard
Do you think that Joseph Allen was buried here too? I am particularly interested in his second wife Nellie Doty.

RE: Harry Black
Unfortunately, I don't know anything more about his second wife. Sorry about that, but at least you now have good evidence that he re-married! Cheers, Rhonda

Gustav Hahn 1874 - 1945
The memorial I entered was from the Fresh Pond database online. It is only a cremation record though, especially older cremations, did tend to end up in their columbarium.

photo request for Nellie McKinney
I was looking through the photo requests at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, Oregon and wanted to let you know the cemetery is massive and the staff is not cooperative with Find A Grave contributors making multiple requests for plot #'s. If you contact the cemetery yourself and obtain a plot # to put on a find a grave a contributor is more likely to go take a picture for you. The phone # is 503-771-1117
Just a tip, Erin

RE: James Joseph Johner
You're very welcome Bev. I'm happy I could help. Let me know if there's anyone else in West Side Cemetery I can photograph for you. I also uploaded a pic of Rose Johner's headstone.

Jennie Cranmer
Hi. Moved your death certificate image to the correct memorial. I had the incorrect spelling of the last name. It should be Cranmer. Thanks, Anne West

RE: Elizabeth A. Hollinshead Rogers Newbold
Those additional names should be listed in the bio section, not in any of the name fields.

thanks Bev for adding photos. I too sent edit to Mary Jane for links but also requested they include the adoptive parents' memorial numbers in the bio. SO we'll see if they oblige. I too love reuniting family members! thanks!

Flour Tip
Thanks for the tip to raise the lettering on headstones.

I hadn't heard or thought of using flour.

The only product I have ever attempted is sidewalk chalk. Yup, the same stuff kids play with. I take a bold color stick and run it over a small rasp (a very coarse woodworkers file) to make a powder.

Than, I use a stiff bristle dishwashing brush to remove the powder from the high spots.

I've had good result, and I don't know of any reason chalk should be detrimental to the headstone or environment.

It's good to have another trick up my sleeve. Thanks again.

adoptive or step parent
I've encountered that myself so I include all the information like you sent me in their biographies and then give the memorial numbers of their adoptive parents too. Have you tried creating the link within a memorial before? Instructions for the coding are in the help section. thanks I'll submit some requests just in case you have the photos.
