Bio Photo Stephen Farnell Born in Halifax West Yorkshire.

I have done research on my family tree and now share the experience with those who may be interested. I have added a number of graves to Find A Grave which may help others in the future. My family roots stem from the Farnell family and the Attwood family and my wife's from the Ward and Soakell family and the families therefore attached to these. My interests also are of the Military, as I'm an ex-service man myself. Should I come across a Military grave not on Find A Grave I will add it for the interest of others. It is not my intention to offend anyone but to preserve the memories of our fallen and the resting place of the dead.
Weather and the elements, and vandalism can cause loss of graves and monuments and so lost for ever. Here at least they are preserved for the viewing of anyone interested.

I can be contacted by email at.

Any queries on living people are private and should be respected as such.

Any queries on the deaths or burials of my additions I will try to help.

Thank you.
Hello Mr Farrell,
Thank you for setting up the memorial for Tara Palmer Tomkinson. I was going to create a page for her but now see you have kindly done so. Should you ever wish to pass her site to me, I would be more than happy.

David McCandlish Steedman - info
Hi there, I'm researching into David Steedman, and noticed you uploaded his gravestone. I wonder how I might go about finding out information about him and his family. Can you help?

Rands in Rawmarsh, Rotherham, etc
Hi. Thank you for letting me know about the photos you added for the Rands family in the Rawmarsh cemetery. Pvt. Edgar John Rands 1890-1917 is my third cousin twice removed, according to my computer software. Definitely a bit distant, but still a relative though :) I think all the Rands's in the Rotherham and nearby areas are related to me. They came from Lincolnshire in about 1800. I have a family tree on with many of them recorded. If you happen to see any other Rands's in the Rotherham and nearby areas, could you take a picture of their gravestones, if it is not too much trouble, since they are very likely related to me.
Thanks for your help.

Sapper John Archer
Hi Stephen. I used the CWGC Grave for Sapper J Archer on his memorial page for Nuneaton and North Warks Family History Society. He was one of three brothers killed in WW1 and all had some connection to Rotherham as well as Kingsbury, North Warks. Here is a link to his page.

Thank you for taking the time to publish the photo's.
