I am looking for my Family Histories. Family names include Brown, Crow, Denney, Allen, Stephens, Cox, Coats.
I teach Floral Design and Horticulture at City College of San Francisco. Visiting interesting Cemeteries and learning about types of Burial, Community History, Art, Architecture and Plantings are all aspects of the classroom experience I offer to our students.

I am willing to help others with needed photos in the San Francisco Bay Area whenever possible. It is difficult in some venues.

Requests must include the exact location. Some offices limit the number of look ups they will do and who they will do them for. There may be limited office hours or no office/staff. Many of the cemeteries here are very old and have centuries old filing systems.

Several Cemeteries are very old and poorly maintained. Signage is either non existent or incomplete.

Requests that do not have specific locations will be deleted.

Thanks to everyone working on this website!!!

You are very welcome. I am in the process of cleaning Cedar Bluff and documenting head stones as I find them

Hello, again. I needed to review my tree. If I understand correctly, you are a grandson of Benjamin & Elizabeth (Lambeth) Brown. What a small world. Pleased to meet you, as it were. Regards.

I'm so sorry about taking so long to get Maggie's address to you. I thought I had you on my email list, but couldn't find you. I have a few emails to send to you regarding the current Brown family reunion info. Also Maggie asked me to ask you to reach out to her.

I'm confused, who's family is in the photo?

Hi Steven,
Penny here. I'm related to the Browns. I'm looking for Elizabeth Lambert Brown's grave. I'm assuming she's buried in the Lambert Cemetery in Greensboro, NC. Do you know this for sure? My son is stationed in Asheville, NC. I'm gathering info for him so he can go directly to the cemetery and local historical societies to collect photos and hardcopy for me.
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Thanks so much for your kind words! I rephotographed the entire cemetery recently and I think they improved from when I did them in 2008. Glad I could help.

They are an advertiser and they help support Find A Grave so that it can remain free for everyone. We are in a multi-month campaign with them and I'm not sure if we will renew at the end of the term. Our search results have not changed though. Any names that would have come up prior to our Archives campaign should still come up. We know that advertising can sometimes be intrusive, but we also recognize the importance of having it, as it is the only way the site supports itself.

RE: Denneys of Webster County
Hi Steven, No I am not related to the Denney's. My husband is very distantly related to some Helms. I researched the Denney line for a Helms in OK that requested help. If you have any information requests, I would be happy to do what I can. I am not the fastest, especially in winter, but enjoy researching.
Happy Holidays!
