Re - Dallas Obituaries

You may call Dallas Public Library to search for a small fee, or you can look into the following:

Purchase a subscription or see if your local library has a subscription to Readex's America's Historical Newspapers Select collection

You might find any major university has a subscription to this - walk in, and use their computers.

I'm not related to anyone in Texas. :)

hoefertree at gmail

PS. I am not a man.

I am in Richland Co., ND and am willing to research in this county.

Amanda Rossow Jentz
Translation of information on gravestone:

Nun ist vollbracht mein leiden kreuz und jammer. Mein schwacher leib schlaft in sanft seiner kammer und wartet nur bis Jesus diese glieder mir giebt wieder. Schlmmern in frieden

Now my cruel and wretched suffering is done. My weak body sleeps gently in his chamber and just waits until Jesus gives me these limbs again. Slumber in peace.

Additional Information we have discovered: Amanda was born Dec 1889 in Richland Co., ND (probably Brandenburg) to Julius and Auguste Gottschalk Rossow and died 19 Dec 1918 during the flu epidemic in Mantador.

The unknown Jentz on St. John's Cemetery, Richland Co., ND, is probably that of Amanda (Rossow) Jentz, first wife of Lorenz (Lawrence) Jentz, buried with his second wife, May, on Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hankinson, Richland Co., ND. Amanda died in 1918 in Mantador, Richland Co., ND. We do not know her birthdate but assume she was born about the same year as Lawrence, who was born in 1889. We know she died as a young person. Our records indicate Amanda was buried on St. John's, and it appears the only Jentz you show buried on St. John's is "unknown." We feel it would be safe to show that unknown grave as that of Amanda, although cemetery records for St. John's should provide a name.

Sam I just added my mother's memorial with a flower that I had put up for her. Would it be possible for you to take your picture off of the Memorial and just leave the one that I have for my mother?? Sure would appreciate it.
The number is in the subject line.
Thank you

Kim L Kalberer
Hi SamK, Kim's father died in Jan 2016 and he was interred At the United States Air Force Academy Cemetery, El Paso County, Colorado Springs, Colorado, on 14 April 2017 along with his daughter Kim L Kalberer, who was disinterred from Restland Memorial Park and reinterred with her father. If you are not related would you transfer her Memorial Page to me? Her Father's Find a Grave # is 180994131. I would appreciate it if you could make the connection. Sam, Find A Grave goofed and made a duplicate of the photo you added. I have had it do this to me, too. Do you mind removing one of them?
