not famous
This is the description from Find A Grave's page, whom I transferred Levi to. It says "NON-famous". I even transferred some of my family members to that account:

"Bio and Links
Non-famous memorials may be transferred to Find A Grave, contributor #8 for management."

I didn't have time to keep responding to findagrave requests, and I haven't transcribed graveyards and uploaded to this site in years like I used to do, so I transferred all to Find A Grave. A person doesn't have to be famous to be managed by that account. Since I don't manage it anymore, I can't transfer memorials anymore, so I'd send a message to Find A Grave.

Sorry, I would have gladly transferred it to you had I gotten the request before transferring all memorials long time ago.

Jason -

I was surprised to see that Levi G. Haysí Memorial Page is being managed by Find A Grave since he is not a famous person. If there is a reason why you canít continue to manage it, I would love for his Memorial Page to be transferred to my care. He is my 2nd great-grandfather and I have lots of information.

Thank you Ė

Hi again! I wish I could transfer these memorials to you, but I transferred them to Find A Grave back in 2012 or 2013 when I was going through a period where I was not able to maintain my memorials. (A decision that I still regret.) You'll have to send an email to and ask them for transfers of these memorials. Sorry! And good luck!

RE: Rebecca George Hays #46250969
Hi there! I was under the impression that this stone was placed in memory of BOTH Erastus and Rebecca. I could be wrong.

The inscription reads:

In memory of
Pvt. Erastus W. Hays
Co. D
25 SC Inf
Ca 1832
Sept. 10, 1864

His wife

I could find no other marker for Rebecca at this cemetery when I was last there in 2010. I will leave the photo there for now until I find out otherwise.

William Lewis, Patriot
I am the 3rd great granddaughter of William Lewis and live near the home where he received the original Land Grant in 1803. We found the documentation in the home in 2007. The home is still in the family with the 6th generation living in it currently. The home was completely restored in 2008 & 2009. We call it the Lewis-Moorhead home since by Great-grandmother, Catherine Lewis married William Moorhead and the home came into the Moorhead family through my grandfather, Augustus Gilkey Moorhead of Pendleton, SC. His son Walter A. Moorhead lived in it his entire 90+ years and now his daughter resides there. I am currently working on a DAR supplemental for the Lewis family. I found the information very interesting about Wm. Lewis military service. Thank you!

Charlie Jordon Smith clan's

I have followed your research in regards to the Smith Clan in Johnson County, GA

William Daniel Smith

William Kimball Smith

Joseph Curtis Smith

I would be interested in the line going backwards. I see you have done some research prior to William Daniel Smith.

Thank you for your help,

Raymond Lee Herbst, Jr. (Great Grandson of Charlie Jordon Smith, William Kimball's son)

You have created a duplicate listing of this cemetery in Find A Grave's data base, and duplicated some of the memorials in the older listing. Please take a look and delete your duplicates and move the others to the original listing.
