Bio Photo Live in Mount Carmel,Pennsylvania. Trying to find other family members of Harold Siebert Miller(father),John Seibert Miller(Gf),William Miller(Ggf)Lafayette Derr(MGgf),Israel Derr(MGGgf),John William Boyer(MGf), Joseph Boyer(MGGf). Also related to the Weikels, Kerstetters and Updegrove[sic]

As for changing incorrect information, I am happy to do so. I am also willing to transfer any of my memorial, for I am running out of time.

PLEASE feel free to visit my "Lost Little Angels" & "Lost Angels" Virtual Cemeteries anytime and leave them a Token and Note. These children & adults are lost in time because they have no headstone to tell us where they are buried in a cemetery or even on a family plot. My own twin brother and sister, Daniel & Nancy Miller, are a part of this group. So is my Maternal Great Grandmother. Records usually don't help, they simply say yes, they're buried here, but where, we don't exactly know. Just remember, you may be the only other person beside myself to visit a "Lost Little Angel" or "Lost Angel". Some of these lost children may not even have a living ancestor,"PLEASE VISIT THEM". Thank You from the bottom of My Heart.

For those memorials that have the phrase "Date obituary appeared in the paper," the paper I am referring to is one of the following from Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, United States:

The Weekly Item
The Semi-Weekly Item
The Mount Carmel Item (their daily paper)
The Daily News

The obituary you seek, will be somewhere in one of these Mount Carmel papers, depending on what date they were published. Do not be disappointed if the obituary has very little information written in it, some were very short in content and some only mentioned the name. Reporters constantly spelled names "phonetically", which can change the actual spelling of a persons' name very dramatically, so be very aware of this fact. I tried my very best not to make mistakes but sometimes, I had little information to work with. I may have placed someone in the wrong cemetery, spelled the name incorrectly, connected two family members together who were not husband & wife and things like that. For this, I am truly sorry, I'm only human and humans make mistakes.

UPDATE: September 16th,2015.
It is with a very heavy heart, that I must write the following. For 12 years, I read 104 years of local newspaper so that I could make a personal obituary database. I have also now walked through 14 different cemeteries in the local Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania area and completely photographed every headstone I could find in each cemetery. I have taken over 40,000 photos and used them on my own memorials and placed them on other memorials as well. I have also uploaded thousands of "Lost Little Angels" & "Lost Angels" memorials for those individuals who have no headstone to tell us where they are buried.

In my attempt to help mankind, I began to upload my personal database of over 50,000 names. This is when I ran into a problem, for which I asked Find-a-grave for advice on how to solve it. I have received an answer and I will abide by that decision. In principal, I agree with the advice but I feel they have left mankind down. You see, while using my obituary database as my guide for making a memorial, I hit a snag. Thousands of the obituaries did not include a burial site and there in lies the problem.

Hi Robert. Would you mind if I used some of your headstone photos on my tree? I will of course give you credit as the photographer.
Thanks,

RE: Joseph Kerdock
Then you indeed have something in common with Jim Thorpe !
My grandparents were Lithuanian and literally escaped the Russians takeover of their country.Grandpa came over first and worked in the coal mines of mt Carmel where he lost a leg.He sent money to my grandmother so she could escape with their two toddlers. ( Dora and Mary Kerdock) .She hired a Guide and escaped with a group. They traveled at night and slept in the woods during the day. They came upon a cabin and she stayed with their guide in the forest. Everyone but my Grandmother ,her children ,and the Guide were shot and killed inside the cabin.
After she left she never saw her parents again.
My uncle, John Kerdock ,was recruited in Mt Carmel as a pitcher for a professional baseball team.

Thank you again for all you have done.

Joseph Kerdock
Joseph was my uncle. He died at only five years old. 1920-1925.
As told to me by his sisters , my mother Anna Kerdock ( Anna Darnell) and my aunt Mary Kerdock
( Mary Slikas).
He had a dream fire was raining on him and told the family at breakfast. later he wanted to watch his older brothers play baseball in the park in Mt Carmel. My mother was nine years old at the time. She begged her mother not to let him go, remembering his dream. He went off anyway.
Some boys were playing under a tree dousing rags in gasoline an whirling them around. Joseph caught on fire. He ran all the way home while his older brother could not catch up with him. My grandmother rolled him up in a rug and put out the flames .He was placed on the large oak kitchen table and the Dr was sent for. he asked his family why they were all crying and grasped at something above his saying ,"The beautiful Lady is coming to get me." He closed his eyes and died.
I listened to my mother and aunt share this story as older women. my mother said she heard his little footsteps running up and down the stairs and my aunt was surprised saying she heard the same thing the night he died.
At his wake in the parlor of the family home ,they said my Grandmother was still in shock and could not cry. She overheard her sisters whispering had it been their youngest son they would be pulling their hair out.Grandmother turned around and told them not to ,"...spit in the water they might have to drink from". they said two weeks to the day one sister was on the banks of the damn pulling her hair while they dredged for her drowned son's body and the following two weeks later the other sister ( their aunt) lost her youngest boy to mumps.
I thought it was an old wives tale until my mother passed in 1977. In the attic of their family home
I found three 8" by 10" black and white glossy photos of three coffins dated two weeks apart from each other. One was a closed casket, One was my uncle because on his top lip extending into his nostrils were scorched markings, the other child just looked bloated.
I knew then the story was true and realized no knows what it is like to loose a child. We should never make judgements on a person's demeanor who is experiencing such horrible grief and pain.
