Bio and Links
Bio Photo Long-time lecturer of writing and women's studies at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH. I am an addictive reader, am interested in geneaology, folk music and sacred harp, and am an Anglican, guitar player, singer, guardian of two rescue dogs and mother of a beautiful adult son.

I enjoy walking in cemeteries and have made it a personal project to photograph and record the headstones of military personnel in addition to requests in local cemeteries, in honor of their service and the service of my father, stepfather, and uncles in World War II and Korea, friends from Viet Nam, and students from the Gulf Wars and the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. If any of these service persons or others I have added are family members and/or you wish to manage their memorials, just let me know. I am happy to transfer.

Anyone who wants to use my photos in their family tree, on Findagrave, or any other site may do so without my permission.

I am primarily a volunteer photographer and often am unrelated to the people whose memorials I make, so I am happy to transfer. I am doing this work to honor what would otherwise be lost lives, to make visible what has been forgotten.

I would very much appreciate tributes of love to the memorial of a baby whose heartbreaking obituary I found in a newspaper from 1926, and another from a death record:

Baby John Doe: 136921616

and to a young girl who had a hard life and a brief stay in this world: Rene Holley 145768090

Heartfelt thanks to all those who have already added notes--you mean more than I can say.

Saw that you had done some work at Graham Cemetery near Wayne. I ventured out there yesterday for the first time. Very interesting place. Found a few headstones I was searching for but not all. I will be back. How is your research going? Have been away from it for a bit myself but trying to carve out some time before Summer arrives.

Again, thank you for all of your dedication to find a grave and genealogy.

Your wish is my command, Cynthia. The deed is done. I'm as fine as frog hair, and life is wonderful.

RE: George Heinl
I was just starting out in genealogy when Skip made his comment!
No ancestry subscription, still don't have one, but I sure found free sites and several real nice people at many cemetery offices.
Also one real nice person who helped me get obits from the Toledo Blade which just sent me finding more for Skip.

I think it was the beauty of the marker that stopped me & inspired me to take a photo.
I was walking the cemetery with my significant other at the time.
He has a lot of 'relatives' buried in this cemetery.
As of right now I don't remember if George is a part of his family.
He challenged me saying I wouldn't be able to find info for a family tree for him.
I did surprise him & had him walking several cemeteries in the area.
Sadly to say he passed away last year.
