Proffitt
Susannah,
If you could post some sort of directions or map for the Proffitt Family Plot in Colonial Heights, Kignsport, I would be happy to photograph it. Thanks.

Thank you for posting this memorial. I believe Frances may be another child of Franz and Mary Ann Hocking Stelzman also buried in this cemetery. Do you know if Frances' grave is near those of Franz and Mary Ann? Other children of Franz and Mary Ann buried there are John H Stelzman, Lena Stelzman Scott, and Anna Stelzman Richards.Perhaps they are all buried near each other. Thank you.

Mormon Coulee Memorial Park
Susan,

First than you so much for taking the time to take the pictures, It is so greatly appreciated. I was wondering if you could help me? You took the picture of my grandfather Oscar Gschwind, Mormon coulee Park, by chance do you remember where in the cemetery it is located? I tried the office and they couldn't even find a copy of his name. His son is now buried by him also .
Thank you!

Maiben Cemetery
Do you know how to get to the Maiben Cemetery outside of Readstown? I understand it's behind the McDonald farm fenceline, but do I need to stop and ask the farmer or is there a path/road to get to it? Thanks for any help.

Hi:

The above mentioned person could not have been born in Brooks County, Georgia as that county wasn't formed until Dec 11, 1858.

Brooks was formed out of Lowndes & Thomas Counties.

Lowndes & Thomas counties were formed from Irwin County in Dec 1825.

Irwin County was not formed until Dec 15, 1818 from Creek Indian Lands.

So the above would have been born in Creek Indian Lands. The Creeks began losing their Georgia lands in 1814.

Just wanted to let you know - so that a correction can be made.

Thank you,
Ramona Joiner Carney
