We live in a small town in southeast Iowa and spend a lot of time in Graveyards and Cemeteries taking pictures, taking notes, just piecing the families together. Some of these Cemeteries are so old that there are not any other records of the people resting there. When these cemeteries go...so does that person's existence! We would like to thank all of you for your contributions to the preservation of these cemeteries.The peace and serenity found in these old cemeteries is our reward! If there is a memorial we have added, that is not in our family, we will consider a transfer of the memorial to you. Please use the Edit tab,(upper right hand corner of the memorial) Please do this on every memorial that you want transferred or a correction on and please include your ID number.|
Thank You, Mo & Dave

My mother's half sister was Geraldine Jacobs. I was wondering if this could be her? My Geraldine's mother was Bertha Jacobs and her father was George W. Jacobs. She was three in the 1920 census in Ottumwa, Iowa. I have her death as 1928 but I don't have a location.
Thanks, David Dean

Hey Mo And Dave, How Are my friends doing?. I am starting to get back on my feet, I finally got home on the 6th of December, and just starting to get going on the computer again. Getting back into the ancestry stuff again. Just can't spend the hours on the computer like I used to. Setting in this wheelchair just doesn't allow it. Takes its toll on the butt. Well, its late and I have to get up early in the morning, have to go to the doctors with my wife in the morning, then we have to go to the grocery store to pick up supplies for soon to be granddaughters graduation party. Its my son Mikes future Daughters graduation party. They're getting hitched in August. They just blessed us with a great Grandson, I mean he is a great kid, not a g grandchild. :).. Got to go, just thought I'd drop a line and let my two favorite people know I was still around, talk to you later.

First just want to say thank you for all the wonderful work that you and your husband do. I have a question re: this memorial. The photo attached to this memorial that of Benjamin Albee. I wonder is there a photo of William D. Albee headstone. I also believe William's wife, Lucy Ann Albee may be buried in Ebanezar Pioneer cemetery, and wonder if you have any further information.
Thank you so much for your time.

I went ahead and linked him to his mother and his 2nd wife, unfair to you.

Hello Mo and Dave,
Thank you for your dedication and diligence in documenting all of these grave locations. I do have a duplicate for a family member to report at Forest Home.
Memorial 86935120 for Martha V Lyons is the same person as Memorial 74295213 for Mattie Lyons. Mattie is a nickname for Martha. It looks like there also were typos in the dates on the Memorial page because they don't match the info on the stone. I did send in an edit to correct this.
I have the Hall-Lyons hand-written family genealogy from late 19th century. It lists the children of James Lyons and Margaret Crouch in 3 different places. It shows that Malinda and Martha both died in Mt Pleasant of diptheria on Nov 7 and Dec 13 in 1865 respectively. No "Mattie" is listed.

Thanks for the transfer of Chad Allen Hamilton over to us.
|Bruce Tennant||Matthew Patterson Tennant|
Thanks so much for this. Matthew Tennant was my great-great uncle. He enlisted underage with his father's permission and died from illness in the Civil War at age 17. I do appreciate this picture.
