As per FindAGrave rules:|
"Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree."
"Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren."
[NOTE: A DIRECT relative in NOT your cousin, uncle or aunt, niece or nephew, etc.]
"The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
I have hundreds of relatives that I have found here on Find A Grave but I do not have "ownership" of their memorial pages. Find A Grave has created a wonderful tool, the "Virtual Cemetery", to help us to keep track of these relatives that have been added by our good volunteers. I have created Virtual Cemeteries for all branches of my family and find this to be a very efficient way to keep track of my family. Please use this tool instead of asking for transfers that fall outside the bounds of Find A Grave policy.

|judy white||Ernest V. Van Nostrand - Nimmo|
Doing cemetery search at Nimmo, Va Beach, and trying to find a Virginia Van Nostrand. She might be the daughter of Ernest V. and Hattie Van Nostrand, but is not listed as a child. She possibly died in Chesapeake, in 1988 and born Jul 1919. Any information you can provide would be helpful. Thanks.

Faustina Virginia "Fassie" Diggs Rhodes was my great grandmother. I noticed you added information and pictures to the memorial site. Are you a relative of her or my great grandfather John Rhodes?
|Sharon K.||Madge Irene McClanahan|
Madge was married to William Ellery Quick on May 13, 1939 in Norfolk, Virginia
|Dot Harcum||Horace Cleveland Futrell Jr|
On Sunday I submitted an edit request to Kello O regarding above which she denied yesterday. I sent her another request today with additional info and proof and now she indicated that you maintain the memorial. That was quick!!!
Rather than retype, I've copied the info I sent Kelly O -
Horace Cleveland Futrell Jr
Horace's Find A Grave memorial # is 14442429. Sorry I didn't send it with the previous message.

Horace Cleveland Futrell Jr
I sent you the following message which you denied:
In Horace's bio you indicated he was a son of Horace C Futrell and Annie Louise Norris.
According to my research, Horace Jr was a son of Horace Cleveland Futrell and his 2nd
wife Annie E Woodhouse. Horace Jr and his mother have footstones and a joint Futrell
headstone in Nimmo UMC cemetery.
Please change his bio to reflect his mother's correct name. I submitted an edit to
connect him to his mother's memorial # 14442422.
Please look at the Futrell headstone at Nimmo cemetery and you will notice that at the lower left is engraved Son and on the lower right is engraved Mother.
Each of the 2 have footstones with their names and dates of birth & dates of death, in addition to the Futrell headstone.
Horace Cleveland Futrell Sr was married 3 times and both the 2nd & 3rd wives were named Annie. However, there were no children with Horace Sr & his 3rd wife Annie Norris. Horace & 3rd wife Annie Louise Norris were married August 1964 and at that time the marriage license indicated Horace Sr was divorced and it was the 1st marriage for Annie Louise Norris.
Horace Jr was born May 1930 and was an adult when his father married for the 3rd time.
The following was abstracted from Horace Jr's death info on ancestry.com and from his actual death certificate. NOTE: His mother's name and she was the informant on the death certificate.
Horace Cleveland Futrell Jr in the Virginia, Death Records, 1912-2014
Name: Horace Cleveland Futrell Jr
Age at Death: 38
Birth Date: 2 May 1930
Death Date: 17 Feb 1969
Death Place: Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
Registration Date: 20 Feb 1969
Father: Horace C Futrell Sr
Mother: Annie E Woodhouse
Death certificate indicated died Oceana Blvd, never married, retired farmer, informant Mrs Annie W Futrell, buried Nimmo Methodist Cemetery, Virginia Beach, VA.
Horace & his mother, Annie E Woodhouse Futrell were buried in Nimmo cemetery and his father and his father's 3rd wife were buried in London Bridge Baptist Church cemetery.
I'm asking again for you to correct the info in Horace Jr's bio regarding the name of his mother and to connect him to his mother Annie E Woodhouse #14442422.
If you need further proof of Horace Jr's mother, please let me know and I'll try to provide it.

Was Laura A McCoy in the McClanan Family Cemetery inside KOA off of General Booth Blvd, Va Beach, the daughter of Ann Elizabeth McCoy who is buried at Nimmo United Methodist Church cemetery?
|John (Jack) Moon||Rosa Lee Moon Tilman|
Would you please review your edits tab and process the changes that have been selected?
|Jen Snoots||Nimmo UMC, Virginia Beach|
It took 2 1/2 months, but all the duplicates you had at this cemetery (100+) have now been merged into earlier memorials. Just in case you are wondering where they went!
|Tony Sivo||Nancy Jones Gregory -- Lynnhaven United Methodist Church Cem.|
Thank you, JoAnn, for your thorough documentation of the Gregory family plot.
You have an enormous amount of duplicate memorials here
I have sent duplicate notices the past couple weeks and am only up to K. It would be great if you could go through and remove your duplicates.

You state that Mary Susan Dozier "may" have been married to a Steward Smith. She was.
