Brenda Carder
RE: Carder Cemetery location
I am still trying to find a paper trail but John Carder 1767 had Thomas 1788 had Fielden 1818.

Fielden 1818 had Thomas 1842 who had George 1875 who had Ralph 1903 my husbands father. I have confirmed these through census/birth /death records.

I have a lineage of John A Carder that I found online and it shows John Carder 1767 had a son Thomas but it doesn't list anything about Thomas' family. It shows Josephs family and his son Cornelius.

If the linage I have is correct Your Joseph and My Thomas were brothers.

Correction to my message. It was Powell sisters that married Carder men. Sorry, Bettie

Carder Family
Seeing your extensive knowledge of the Carder family on FindaGrave, would you be related? I have a dear friend and neighbor, Carl Carder, Ritchie County and my sister-in-law (Powell) has relatives that married Carder sisters. Both are trying to find if they are related. Thank you for your FindaGrave contributions. Bettie

RE: Margaret Britt Shaw
You're welcome. I'm sorry to say that I though I walked the whole cemetery, I couldn't find a headstone with her name on it. The family name stone is the only reference I could find to the Britts and Shaws. Thanks for your note.

RE: McMasters at Carder Cemetery
Thank you for your help. Anything you found of John and Anna McMasters I would like to see. I am not surprised there isn't anything for Virginia McMasters, as this was an infant death.

Thank you again,

Amanda

RE: Keener/Poe Cemetery
I have but it was about 15 years ago, and I haven't been back in the area since. It was on the property of a Mr. Freeze (I think his first name was Henry). It is way up on top of the mountain. He has allowed the fence to fall down and his cattle have knocked over many of the tombstones. The farm is on the left side of the road as you travel out Wickwire from Wal-mart. Not much help, but that's about all I can tell you. Mr. Freeze was a retired state road worker, and may not be alive himself.
