When I was born, we lived in Caldwell County, MO and now live in Daviess County, MO. I have lived in these two counties all my life, except for 7 years when I was a child and lived near Abilene, KS. |
I have always enjoyed sitting at the table at family dinners and hearing the older people tell stories about people and times in the past.
I became involved in looking for my genealogy when I got a computer a few years ago. My grandparents are buried in Caldwell County and some of my great and great-great grandparents as well. Some of the names I am researching are LOONEY, SLOAN, FARR, GREEN on my side and HOOD, GARRISON, STORY, HARRIS on my husband's side.

Good afternoon, Caryn! Would you please do me a favor and post this photograph to this memorial? There is a backlog of photo requests for Highland Cemetery going back to 2009 and I'd rather have a photo of the marker - without the death date - than just add to the backlog.
Thanks so much. Tom in Kansas City, Missouri
Thank you for the wonderful headstone photo that you added to the memorial for Enna Cooksey Gannon. I really appreciate all of your help.

Hi Caryn, can you help me out? I see you have James Henry Ellis' (37640312) wife as Elizabeth Oxford Ellis (37640338). I have him as married to America Booth. In the 1860-1870 census James/Henry & America are living in Mercer Co., MO. From 1880-1900 (including 1885 NE census)James shows his spouse as Elizabeth, but her age matches what America should be. Can you tell me if you know anything about America or when James married Elizabeth?
|Elizabeth Meyer||Thank you Caryn|
Hi Caryn, Thanks to you I just saw my great, great grandmothers burial spot. Minerva Jane Rhodes DeVaul. So very kind of you to do this for others.
I think I may volunteer here in San Diego.

Apologies for this long delayed response to my request for this transfer. I have been going through old emails and do not see that I previously responded. I have linked her to parents.

Do you mind if I use your Find A Grave photo on my ancestry family tree? Thanks Debbie

Thank you so very much for transferring Alice's memorial to me. I really appreciate your generosity. It will be an honor to maintain her memorial.
|Martha King||Thomas and Cynthia Adkison|
I am looking for more information on Thomas Adkison. William Eli is the son of Thomas and Cynthia. William is my great-great Granfather. I can not find any information on Thomas' parents.
I believe Thomas was killed in the Civil War, other his children names and their families, that is all I know.
