I started working on the family trees with my parents when I was a little girl and the interest seems to have stuck around. Not only do I collect information about my various family lines but like a good conversation, my file has meandered to contain information about families attached to mine.|
The lines that I'm currently working on are Daley, Martz, Bowie, Cheshire, Resch, Redekopp, Bruynooghe, Hazzard, MacDonald, MacIntyre, MacPherson, Turnbull, Kyme, Bolan, Kinney, Homan, Maschke, Zieminek, Prestlien and many more connected to them. :)
I have taken pictures of headstones of my family for years when I find them and have just recently started taking pictures of entire graveyards when I have the time to do so. My new husband likes quiet excursions, so while I take pictures of graveyards, he reads and naps. He loves it! :)
I will post any picture I have, it just takes a little time due to cropping pictures and life in general. If there is a stone in the cemetery that I have problems reading it'll be listed at the top of the cemetery interments with a first name of "unknown". Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have a correction to a memorial, have extra information you wish me to post into a memorial or would like to have the memorial transferred to you, just please use the "edit" tab in the upper corner. Also, please contact me if you have a better picture of a memorial and I'll remove the bad one. I do admit that I am not a Karsh in the making... I promise, I'll get to all requests as soon as I can. :)

Adele Shanks (nee Dominique) was my grandmother. Ralph Anderson was my step-grandfather. Thank you (!!!) for helping me find them. I knew, from all the family lore that they lived and passed in Basha, Ab.

Just wondering how you know for sure who their family members are? Are you related to them or did you perhaps find the information in a Local Family History Book?

Thank you for the entry and picture of my GG-Aunt in Queen's Park.
Would you mind if I attached it to their records in Ancestry (citing you as the source of course)?
|Giselle Ward||Sander P. Sanders|
I just posted a photo of Sander. He was my great uncle. I posted a note that his birth name was Soren P. Sorenson, and later changed to Sander Sanders. I met Gordon Sanders in 1978 at a family reunion of my mother's cousins at Camrose, Alberta. He took photos of Soren (Sander) and of his parents, Peder & Marthe
(Peter & Martha) Sorenson. I have the original photos of them, along with Sander's sister, Severine, who became Sarah Severine Sorenson. She married my great grandfather, Lewis Halvor Pederson. Their son, Henry L. Pederson is my grandfather. The photos I have were in a photo album Lewis gave to Henry when Henry married. His daughter, Hazel Herem, was my mother. I also have a couple faded photos of Martha Sorenson's brother(s), if you are interested. I haven't posted them anywhere yet.

Please transfer this memorial #97103486 to me. She is my aunt.

My name is Lynette Sholes Baker. My g.g. aunt is Marie F Ihde. She married John Ihde. I have come to the conclusion that the Marie of this site is my aunt because all the information I have matches except the dates for her birth. As a genealogist and find a graver, I love to connect with distant relatives! Would you happen to be a relative or know one in the Killam area?
Marie and John had 3 children. 1 a girl that died at birth. 2. a son buried in Nelson Memorial Park along with his wife Josephine. 3. a daughter, Dorothy, married Earl Patton. They had 2 children, Gordon and Linda b. 1959 and 1960 respectively. I have not been able to find Dorothy's or Earl's graves on here. Linda and Gordon may still be alive.
I am hoping you can help direct me to a historical Society that may have obits or other information about Marie and John.
Thank you for this contribution to find a grave and all you do for this site.
|L Eriksson||Re; 11384311 Edwin Axel Erickson|
I sent you some edits for this child - including change of spelling of last name to Eriksson. He is related to my husband. Iris Larson 46858247 also has a memorial for him - #114983099 - however, she has his name spelled Ericsson. She does have internment date of Feb 25 1916 and plot #MO2 4E. I have asked her to remove her memorial and am requesting you to add the plot number to yours.
thank you for all the work you do for Find A Grave.

A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent an edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy
New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page. Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.
