|My name is Melissa and I joined this websight to try to find additional information on my family history and add the information that I have to try to help other people with the information that I have. Also, if you do try to contact me directly through email can you please write "findagrave" in the subject line. Thank you. If not I will most likely think it is spam and delete it. |
I also have began to transcribe cemeteries with as much information that I can find on who is buried there.

Back in 2014 I sent a message asking if it would be OK to reproduce one of your photos - the one of the family grave of Caroline M Bown Jones in Union Dale Cemetery. It was in connection with a blog article being written on her husband, Albert Delmont Jones. Their son Albert D Jones Jr who only lived for about a week is mentioned on the stone, and she is listed as the wife of Albert Delmont Jones. I never heard back and the article went ahead without the photo, although I had plenty of others and news cuttings to use. But I am considering revising the article and wondered if you get this message, whether you would mind me reproducing the photograph, with a credit of course?
Albert Delmont Jones had a checkered history. You couldn't make it up! I can supply details if of interest at John_H_Paton@yahoo.co.uk

I discovered Lena Essex's Find a Grave page today that you had put together. First, I want like to thank you for your efforts. I have been trying to find information on my family and it took awhile for me to find her FindAGrave page.
Second, are you a family member of Lena/Jesse Essex? My grandfather was Harold Essex whom I only met once in my life (when I was a kid) and I don't know much about the family.
I recently visited the Preston Cemetery in Alger and was able to locate the headstones of Issac and Lydia Essex. Next to them was the stone of Wilsie Essex whom I know was Lena and Jesse's son. But next to Wilsie's grave a head stone for Jesse Fagnar. Would you know if that is the headstone for Jesse Fagnar Essex?
Please let me know if you can help me with this? The Essex family there in Hardin Co/Alger seems to be a bit of an enigma for me and I would love to learn more about them.

Hi , have you done research on the Rase family ? Thanks .
Hi Melissa, would you please correct the year of death on this memorial? The headstone read 2008. Also, Raybon Wilbon is my 2nd cousin; if you don't mind, would you transfer management to me?
Thank you, Gengirl.
