Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a Missouri girl, now residing in KY. and I have been hooked on finding my family since the 1960's but I put it on the back burner when I went to work.

One of the joys of my retirement is taking Find A Grave pictures for others and helping to link loved ones together. And many times there are additional family members that they didn't know are with their loved one.

Find A Grave is such a wonderful website as it has helped us to appreciate those who came before and to honor them.

My families are Greenlees, Driskell, Nash, Eustace, Weese, Aldrich, Brays and many more.

The pictures I take for you, belong to you. You may use them in you family tree but please credit me for taking the picture.

I would be happy to transfer any of my memorials to you as long as they meet Find A Grave guidelines and they are not my family.

RE: Hollis graves at Cave Hill
No problem about the repeat messages. Must have been a solar flare scrambling the internet yesterday. :)

Thank you again for your previous information on the Hollis family. I did submit and have my requests at Portland Cemetery answered by a kind person who allowed me to know that the graves are recorded there and are unmarked. Thanks again for your information. I do not subscribe to Ancestry, but I did visit the cemetery's own website and conducted the search you advised. Much appreciated.

Jefferson Family
I note that back in Feb 2011 you were in touch with people interested in the Jefferson family buried at Cave Hill.

For the past several years I have been transcribing a diary kept by John F. Jefferson of that family. The diary is in the possession of The Filson Historical Society.

I would appreciate it if you could tell me if those interested parties of 2011 were descendants of those Jeffersons buried at Cave Hill. If so, I would like very much to be able to talk with them.

RE: Barnabus Weese
It is not on private property. I found it to be a very nice cemetery. It is on a hill and seemed to be well taken care of. But I did go early in the spring so grass and weeds (and snakes) were not a problem. It requires a short drive on a gravel road that was fine and I didn't have to deal with a chain to get into. It was a nice place to find all the stones and my only disappointment was not finding all the stones that people had requested pictures.

Good news and bad . . .
I found the grave of William and Lois Maclay, however William's name was not engraved on the stone. I don't know why, but possibly it just had never been ordered. I'm finding out that sometimes the engraving was paid for pre-need, but if no one places the order to have it done, is goes undone. If it was not previously paid for, perhaps the family just did not have the money to do it.

Anyway, William's parents are buried two rows to the west of them; they are William, Sr. and Euphemia. There were not memorials already made for them, so I created them and added photos. The photo caption of the area photo will explain where they are in relationship to each other.

I hope this information helps your research.

Best regards,
B.J.

RE: John C Meranda
Hi, I removed the picture for now based on your statement that the middle initial was a C. The picture can always be posted again if it turns out it is an O. I don't have a list of the cemetery. I saw the problem in the findagrave listing when I looked at the dates for the memorial for John C. Meranda and John O. Meranda (Jr). and saw how the dates were so close as to be transcription errors, so I assume someone created John C. Meranda from a separate cemetery canvas where someone misread the stone. I suspect the Scott County Genealogy Society has a listing.
