I began researching my ancestry in 1976 at the age of 23. I was extremely lucky to still have many living grandparents, great aunts and uncles whom shared so much information, photo's, and stories with me. They have filled my life with the love of searching for more..."Family Ties are Precious Bonds that passing Time endures..." from poem by Elizabeth M. Gerus|
NOTE: You have my permission to use any photo I've taken and posted on FAG in your own family research. A note of credit would be appreciated, but not necessary. (only exception please don't copy my photo's & put them on other FAG memorials...request and I'll re-post the photo for you) I'm photographing to share and for others to use...

|CML||Malinda (Madge) Mudgett Butterfield|
In case you are interested there is a ca. 1860s envelope addressed to Madge Mudgett for sale now on ebay. I found it on a search for Low Moor, Iowa. It has names of some other family members and what looks like it might be a little note from her future husband, Dennis Butterfield.

Please use it!
Thank you for his bio and posting the picture, etc on his memorial. Would you mind if I use the photo in my genealogy?

Thank you for creating Almeda's Memorial# 164489882
But the picture you have on her grave is not hers.

I think you need to contact the person who created the memorial for Lena and ask them to link her to Sara and Paul. I don't think I can do it as I did not create her memorial. Thanks.
|Mark Lago||RE: Sarah Elizabeth Butterfield Lago|
Thank you for the information and for posting the Death
Certificate. I just found it today. Sarah Elisabeth had 6 children. Only 3 are currently listed on the Find-a-Grave site. All of them but Jeff are buried in the Doyle
Cemetery. Sarah was a midwife and helped deliver
twins from a neighbor. (Jeff and Lena--Who is the one whose name is at the bottom of the page.) The mother died in childbirth. Then there was a Lydia, but she died when she was 29. I have some vague memory in the back of my head that there was something odd about her death.
Do you know the lineage from Joseph to Sarah. I could not read the name of her father, and when I tried to do some
research on line with the mother's name, it took me to a Charles that ended up in South Dakota. The name on that line does not look like Charles.
I have one of those old, old photos of Sarah.
Thank you again for the work.

Thanks for posting the Death Certificate for Sarah Elizabeth
Butterfield Lago. She is my great grandmother (Through her son, Charles). Are you related to her?
Hi. In regards to your photo request for baby Buard, I suggest you call the cemetery to see if you can find the grave location and post it to the memorial and also please check to see if there is a headstone for her. Many babies in this cemetery are in unmarked graves. I am currently photographing the sections in Montrose Cemetery and will be happy to search for her if you can find out the location of the grave. Thank you.
