Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been into family history since 1973. I transcribed all cemeteries in town Schleswig, Manitowoc County, WI in 1974.
Calumet County cemeteries are all on FAG.
I am working on obits from the Chilton Times. I have older ones on FAG. I have on my computer obits from 1964 to 1983. Don't know if I will ever get them all typed but if you need one I should have it. Changes just about every week as I keep getting more.

If you have corrections or additions to anything I have on please let me know.

Thanks to anyone adding people pictures. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone had a picture.

It is nice to have photos of the cemetery stones, but please don't put in any more than two. I come along with people pictures and can not put them in because the limit has been reached.

I do not take credit for many of the pictures I post here, they are given to me by fellow researchers who want them shared with family members.
If I have any pictures of your family members, you are welcome to use them.
Hint: click on the picture you want, and that will bring up a larger file, and then save it.

I've added a new virtual cemetery -- Cemetery X. In my research I am finding obits for people who have some connections in Calumet County, but I don't know where they are buried.

If you have cemetery stones that need cleaning or repair work on old cemetery stones, Shane Peik, has a Chilton, Wisconsin based service.

Eliabeth Broetzinger 181011921 is deleted. Proves you can't trust even an obit and there is nothing better than personal knowledge and boots on the ground. Thanks for your volunteer spirit, work and dedication to the history of families of your community.

Elisabeth (Kraemer) Eichmeier
Rose,
On Find a Grave it shows you are the g-g-g-granddaughter of Elisabeth(Kraemer)Eichmeier. Elisabeth had a niece Amalia Maria Sophia Kramer that married Johann Steffen Hargens and immigrated to central Nebraska from Schleswig-Holstein. I am her g-g-grandson.
Do you have photos of Elisabeth and Bernhard Eichmeier or any of their children?
Can you tell me more information about them?
My email address is: khfarms@hamilton.net

RE: Henry Behn
Hi Rose,
I agree with you that it would seem logical that the kids belong to the first wife, as she died first and all the kids were born before that.

But, Meta's obit says Caroline, which threw me off also.

I'll keep looking and see what I can find. Ernest married a "Miss Erna Hinke", which is likely the "Erna Hoehnke" I'm looking for, so I'll be digging around the family some more until I find my answers.

I'll let you know when I find something further.

First of all, thank you for all the dedication to this worthy project.

Second, I want to explain a correction I made to 127084582: the maiden name of my aunt-in-law's mother. I found and posted her obituary which, unfortunately, has one error. Hattie Bergin's maiden name is not FENELSON. According to most sources, including the Bergin Family Tree on Ancestry.com, her father's name was Jonas FENLASON, so that is what I have entered.

Lillian Lassiter
Hello - Lillian's mother died when she was 2 years old. Her parents were August Woitas & Augusta Prielipp She was adopted by John & Martha (Woitas) Terry, Martha was Lillian's father's sister. Lillian was her niece. Ferdinand Prielipp, her grandfather, her mother's father, mentioned Lillian Lassiter in his will. In the 1920 census, Lillian's half brother, Henry Prielipp, was living with the John and Martha Terry Family.

Let me know if you need anything else. Deb

Thank you for doing the updates to her memorial so quickly and a special THANK YOU for posting her obituary to her memorial. This gave us family information that we were unable to prove anywhere else. We greatly appreciate your help with this website.
