Any help?
I was thrilled to find the write up you've done for Susie Dee Conaway King. She is my great, great Aunt. Do you happen to have any places/dates in regards to her marriage to James King? Also, could you please explain the Coffelt relation? I see that her children have the last name of Coffelt, but I don't see the name of another husband with that surname.Did she remarry? Were they adopted? Any help or information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. If you'd like, you can post here, or contact me directly at ksapctmom@gmail.com.
Thanks so much!

I am related but very distant. I see you added a photo and note regarding what was found. I will check to see if I can find any names of living relatives

Dear Friends...regarding Mr Whiteman's Purple Heart, first this medal, CAN BE SOLD to second parties...sad but true...and also SAD, is that family or estate people, more than likely found this among Mr Whiteman's treasures and sold this or donated it, along with other things to Goodwill.
My daughter sent the same notice to us because my husband received the DSC, second highest award, the MOH being highest. These two (MOH & DSC) are not allowed, they are to be donated, not sold, to a museum or returned to the Gov. On behalf of my husband, who has received a Purple Heart and DSC along with several other awards, for his service in Viet Nam, Thank you for the posting of it being rescued at Goodwill, and the time it took to locate family, and return it. If a family member cannot be found it could be donated to "Purple Heart Socity"...DJ Baker
