I started on my "family" a number of years ago and with each passing day some new information or new "family" members keeps popping up. Just wish I had started this years ago when the "older" family members were still here.

Eli Metzger grave picture
I'm curious if you actually went out on the fence line and found the grave of Eli who died 1867. I was there about 10 years ago but did not go down the fence line to look for it. Or did a relative take a picture years ago. I own the memorial and Eli is my gggrandfather. Anyway, thanks for the picture that you put on the memorial.

Joe Dupree
Croan, Rowe, Hamlin
Jasper Hamlin and Sara Smith are my Great Grandparents. Their folks were Charles Hamlin and Hannah Workman, and Issac Vincent Smith and Missouri Ann Rowe (parents James Rowe and Sarah Ann Croan). My Grandfather Joseph Alton Dupree from NC married Georgia Mae Hamlin, the daughter of Jasper and Sara/Sadie Hamlin in Ozawkie in 1919. They came back to NC and divorced soon after my father Joseph Edward Dupree was born. We had no contact with Georgia Mae Hamlin who later changed her name to Jean Marie and married a Earl Ramstead. She died in PA in the 1950s. I would love any information you may have reg the family thru the Rowe/Croan line. I actually went to the Rose Hill Cemetery, Newman, KS and the Kansas Archives a couple of years ago when business took me to Kansas City.
