Bio and Links
Bio Photo A native of Louisville, Kentucky, I've lived since 1998 in the Historic Licking Riverside Neighborhood of Covington, directly across the Ohio River from Cincinnati. While living in the Highlands Neighborhood of my hometown I used to visit St Louis Cemetery to see the grave marker of my 4th-great-grandparents, Johann Michael Hillerich (1795-1879) and his wife Anna Apollonia Ritter Hillerich (1799-1876). Locating their place of origin at Seckmauern in Herrschaft Breuberg, in present-day Odenwaldkreis, Hessen, was the first such breakthrough in my personal research, and I still have the letters and photocopies of documents received in 1991 and 1992 from Pfarrer Dr Karl-Heinz Drobner assisting me. My grandmother Luetta Crenshaw supported my early interest in our German heritage, and together we researched the families of her 2nd-great-grandfathers, Carl Deutschmann (1800-1869) and Philipp Jakob Deußer (1815-1874) of Charlestown, Indiana. One of my favorite German connections comes through the French ancestry of my 6th-great-grandfather, John DeMoss (d. 1815), a ferry operator and station keeper at 'The Point' near North Bend in Hamilton County, Ohio. His great-grandmother, Marthe Duval, Madame de Rocoulle (1655-1741), a Hofdame and Dame du Palais at the court in Berlin, in 1691 was made Gouvernante of Friedrich Wilhelm von Preußen (1688-1740) and in 1712 the erste Pflegerin und Erzieherin of Friedrich der Große (1712-1786), König von Preußen.

Michael Eckert #78922747
Hello, while researching info for my 2nd great grandparents i ran across the name of your above ancestor and wanted to reach out to you as my 2nd gr grandmother (maternal) is said to be by birth an Eckert, she was born in Wurttemberg (Baden i believe) Germany in 1841. she immigrated in 1857-8, lived in Cincinnati, OH area until after she married my 2nd gr grandfather Jacob Diller in 1860 and they moved to Greenup Co., KY where they had their children and lived the remainder of their lives there and are buried there. I can't seem to find info on either of them before entering the U.S., Jacob died in 1905 which was among that time of documentation that was destroyed in a fire so i am told and on him i have no death record. if you would happen to have any kind of info that can jump start my research i would be so grateful. i can provide you with my email should you request it. thank you so much and keep up the wonderful work. Mary H. Connely
Thank you so much for posting the photo of the grave marker of Mary H. Bennett Connely who was buried at Linden Grove Cem in 1850. I have searched for years trying to find her grave, and possibly her father.

I will put her Find A Grave # in my info for her husband, Arthur G. Connely, who married later, and moved to Shelby Co., MO.

I wonder if you happen to know whether John C. Bennett was buried in this cemetery. I am not able to find him. I got his name from the marriage of Mary and Arthur.

I saw that the parents of Arthur, Alexander and Nancy Connely were originally in this cemetery but later moved to Covington. Not sure of the cem name. Thank you for any information, or for referral to a local researcher. June Atkinson

RE: Franz & Hermann Heinrich Roemer
Ok, great. I'm out of town for the next month without my computer. There are a few family linked to my dups. Either you could suggest the changes or I can when I get back and delete the dups. Thanks.

Muntel Family
Our bio are almost reversed. I am a Covington native that moved to Louisville. I grew up literally a "stones throw from the Licking River" We lived in the 700 block of E. 21st St my grandparents lived in the last house and at 8 years old my older brother and I stood in the side yard and threw rocks into the river.
Are you related to the Muntel family? Gerhard Herman Muntel is my 2nd great-grandfather. I printed out all of the Muntels in Ohio. They all are in Hamilton County. There are several Muntels that I cannot ID but I will try. I am sure, not positive, that George Muntel is my 3rd G-grandfather. Did you get the info on the memorials from the cemetery? My 2nd G-Grandmother my be the niece of Archbishop Moeller (Moeller High School). He had a brother and a sister according to his bio. I am willing to take manager of all the Muntel Family.
