To request a transfer or edit information please use the EDIT tab at the top right of the person's page, check the drop down menu for options. DO NOT USE THE PUBLIC MESSAGE BOARD TO MAKE THESE REQUESTS.

Please remember to include the memorial page number and your membership number when asking for information about an entry I have made. It makes it sooooo much easier for me to find the person you are asking about.

I do have photos of most all of the markers that I have transcribed. So please ask. (Include memorial # in your request)

If you would like me to remove a memorial please let me know and I shall remove it right away - no questions asked.

Because of the few RUDE people demanding I transfer pages to them, I shall no longer make transfers unless you are polite AND can explain to me how the person is related to you.

However, as FaGer Scott wrote :- If there is any particular entry that I have made that is very important to you, related or not, if you sponsor their page I will transfer it to you ASAP. This helps Findagrave and shows me that this entry truly is important to you and that you are not simply trying to 'collect' all you can find of a particular surname.

Should you find that I have inadvertently duplicated an entry or photo please let me know, I will remedy the situation as soon as possible.

Please be respectful to families and allow them to have the funeral before you post information about the deceased.

Borrowed from another member:
Please do not add copyrighted information, photos that you did not take, photos of obituaries, death certs and any other scanned documents to any of the pages I have created. Only personal photos and grave photos should be posted in the photo section, Find a Grave will be notified and will be asked to remove other item(s).

Do not ask me to add info from census, others trees, cause of death, obituaries which include names of surviving family members or negative reports about their life and circumstances which are disrespectful. Bios should reflect the positive aspects of life. It is a memorial after all

To those "Advanced" Find A Gravers, I would appreciate if you are going to leave me a message then you would also be considerate enough to give me a way to reply to your message.

Having Lyme Disease I need less stress in my life and need "gentle exercise" I find taking photos for Find A Grave gets me the fresh air, and the tranquility I need in the summer months and uploading the information exercises my mind in winter. RE: Jennie
Hi Alison:

I'm 85% sure this is Sophia Jane Johnson. She appears as "Jennie" in other records. In the family, she is the third Sophia Jane.

Thanks for all of your help and I'll followup with the Archives.

If you ever need any assistance with Ontario records, just let me know. I'm 45 minutes away from the Archives of Ontario so try to get there a few times every year.

Laurie

RE: Robert Pretty.
Hi Alison:

Please, no rush and I certainly don't want to impose. I was going to try and find a death notice for 1975.

I've just checked the The Alberta Genealogy Research-(The Recents) and found
Sophia Jane TRINDER born about 1891 and died 1975 has a death notice in the Edmonton Journal.

Then I checked the epl.ca for Edmonton Obituaries and it has S.J. Trinder obituary was published May 13, 1975.

I'll follow-up with the EPL about getting a copy.

RE: Robert Pretty.
I'm researching long distance and do not have access to the Alberta Cemeteries database. The Ancestry Public Member Tree "My Ancestors" gives a death date for Sophia Jane of May 12, 1975 at Edmonton. There can also be confusion with the maiden name as sometimes it is Johnson and next it is Johnston or even Johnstone.

RE: Edith Potts
Hi Alison
Forgive me ... I've sent a number of corrections for various people and I'm a little at a loss to know which Edith you are refering to as I've a large number of Edith's who married a Potts have you a date of birth or death for her. May I ask what does BC mean ? Sorry if I sound a bit thick as obviously I've sent a correction but can't recall it ... can you provide a little bit more information Place of birth/death date of birth/death etc ... well anything that may help me.
Kindest regards
Neill

RE: winmill family
Thank you for the info. William Henry "Bill" Winmill married Florence who I believe remarried to a Flynn. Son Irvin married Martha and did not have any children. Son Cecil married Jean and had one son "Billie" who must be the William Lewis 1951-1999.

RE: Edits for Applebys
I think it's awesome as I try to do same, especially since I have easier access to BC files :) Great job, but wonder why some of my edits are refused, and then done anyway, but as long as info is correct, that's all that matters :)

Winmill Family
Thank you so much for taking the time to post the picture of my Great Uncle Bill Winmill's headstone. You didn't by chance come across any other Winmill's buried there did you?
Thanks,
Penni

No way of knowing for certain she has passed, or still alive, but listed on stone entered to join the family together was reason for doing so. Thanks for updating edits!
