--------------------------------------------------

I have been doing genealogy for over 40 years. I have started to take pictures of area cemeteries (Waukesha County area) and I am trying to submit them to various sites. I also take picture when I go on vacation to other parts of the USA and Europe.

If anyone needs a photo (which has not been re-sized) or has any corrections or additions please let me know.

Lately I have been getting many, many transfer requests without the needed information. If anyone requests a transfer, use the EDIT tab and the transfer request must contain the following information: Relationship; Parents, Siblings, Grandparents And Great Grandparents (which does not include Aunts/Uncles/Cousins) and your Find-A-Grave Contributor Number. A transfer cannot be done without the contributor number. It takes up too much time for me to search out the above information.

My sister, Lois has been helping with the corrections and additions and also looking for obituaries. My sister, Julie is also helping with taking pictures.

i noticed in the picture behind his stone a very large stone with the name WEBER on it. what can you tell me about that stone? what are the markings on it? is it just a family name marker? can you get a better picture of it? thank you for your help, take care

James William Finley gravestone
The description of James W. Finley's government grave stone should say, " U.S. Army WWII". Thank you.

The headstone photo that you added to memorial #110549580 for Dennis Irene Stanley Wright is a duplicate of photos that I had already added. I would appreciate it if you would remove it. Thank you.

Graceland Cemetery, which has Union's records, is pretty close to where I work, so I can get to those records pretty easily. When the weather is not good for picture taking, I will often go through sections and record the information & general location for markers and add that to Find a Grave.
Thanks for the complement on the photos. I might brush off some dried moss (or whatever that stuff is), but other than that I don't clean markers. The main thing is to have good sunlight on the marker, if that is possible. Also, I do use photo editing software to make pictures a bit brighter, edit out bird poo, etc...

There may not be a stone. The cemetery stones from this old cemetery were moved years ago. I think I got the name from historical records of people who were buried there.

The children listed are for his parents (James & Catherine), so they are his siblings.

Johannes Berndt link
I just approved your edit for Johannes Berndt to link to Sophia because I know you are a dedicated researcher. Since the Barndts at West Granville Cemetery are family, I am curious how you found him. Thanks.

My father served in same National Guard Unit with George. It should be noted at time he called up (10-20-1940) he was: Co. "G", 32nd Infantry (Red Arrow) 127th Infantry - WWII. Red Arrow Division was historic unit. My information comes from Waukesha Freeman also (1944) on anniversary of their deployment. Thank you
