Bio and Links
Bio Photo Pat is an RAOGK volunteer for Ellis and surrounding counties in Texas. She previously lived for 30 years in Colorado where she also researched for RAOGK. While in Colorado, she served as President, as well as other officers, in her local genie society and edited the society newsletter and quarterly, even after she moved back to Texas in 2002. Pat also served as President of the Colorado Council of Genealogial Societies and was the coordinator for the National Genealogical Society's Conference in the States in 1998, held in Denver. She has conducted workshops and presented lectures at the local, area, and national levels, but her passion has always been, and will always be, cemeteries.

Hi, Pat,

This gentleman was my grandmother's brother, Maudie Virginia Tittle Smith buried in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. Their parents were Samuel C. Tittle and Sarah A. Lance Tittle. Tennessee O. Smith Tittle born to Issac W. Smith and Callie Elkins Smith was Samuel's SECOND wife.

George was born in Cannon Co., TN.

Sarah Ann McFarland (1825)
Good Morning!

According to your information on Find a Grave, #64533562, re. Jonathan Pierce Stubbs (1850), my great-great-grandmother may be either Sarah Ann McFarland (1825) or Sarah Ann Smith, I am trying to determine which is most likely.

Any help will be VERY MUCH appreciated.

Cliff Layton,

I will try to explain this the best I can. I volunteer at the Bastrop County Historical Museum. Sometime ago a tombstone was found while work was being done in courthouse/jail. It is the tombstone of Mrs Harvey. Dates match up with what is still readable. We do not know how it got to Bastrop County. This what it says.
"Sarah, wife of W C Harvey, born Dec 22, 1849, died Oct 4 1899. Mother, thou hast from us flown to the regions far above. We to thee erect this stone consecrated by our love"
Tombstone is being stored I believe at the county court house.
Please get back to me. This stone sounds like it was removed from your cemetery in Ellis County.

Alice Benbolt Rousseau, 49437058 was my greatgrandmother. If you would like to transfer her memorial to me I would be glad to have it.

Re: Mem. #54783332
Thank you so much for taking this photo - until now, family lore said this was a baby girl instead of a baby boy, making him my G-uncle.

I am the great great niece of Marcus M. Thomas. He is the older half brother to my Great Grandmother Eva Thomas Cook.

I have set up Find A Grave memorial for James Samuel Floyd "Doc" Thomas the father of Marcus M. Thomas. Would you add James Samuel Floyd "Doc" Thomas as the father. His Find a Grave #171494406.

Thank you, Myra Hofer

I was just wondering... are you willing to help with some on the ground genie work? You have a Carrie Olphant in your Find A Grave and my cousin, who was born in Waxach... Texas, but died in Charlottesville, VA is listed as the executive of her estate, via a 1943 Newspaper article, but I am not understanding why or how there is a connection. I can provide more info if you are willing to do some on the ground looking/digging for me. Thanks so much!
