PHOTOS: Any photo I have posted on Find-a-Grave is intended to be used...please consider this your permission to copy and/or post any of my photos.|
DUPLICATES: I try my best to do a thorough check before entering any memorials. I will never intentionally create a duplicate, although sometimes it just happens with the delay in the Find-a-Grave system at times. Even if my memorial was entered first, I will usually delete IF the other memorial is complete. My interest is not in numbers but in the precious souls who walked among us on this earth and their descendants who may search for them in the future.
CORRECTIONS: I'll be happy to make corrections on any of my entries if needed, or I will gladly transfer memorials to family members (at my discretion when it involves my kinfolks). I would appreciate your using the "Edit" function to request corrections.

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
By Thelma Greene Reagan
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Thank you so much for the transfer. There is so much more to the story than information on death certificates and both have incorrect information
Again thank you!
Mary Ann Summerall
Thank you Janie for all your help and transfers.
Have a nice day.

|Maryann Summerall||C H Henderson and Mattie J Hender|
concerning the graves of CH Henderson and Mattie J Henderson, These are my grandparents and the information contained on the Memeorial is incorrect. Please transfer to me and I will correct and add all the children and connections.
Also, the grave information for Dan J Taylor and wife Mary J. Taylor are my great grandparents.
If you will allow me to add the correction information I would so appreciate.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Mary Ann Summerall

Thank you so much. I see you added much more info. I am always afraid to provide too much info because some members don't like that. So, I just summarized. But, I prefer what you did way more! Thank you! Jon
|J Smith||Transfer memorial|
IF not related to you would appreciate if you would transfer Herbert Yulee Gregg to me. He is my grandfather's brother.

|Tera Lewis||Ben W. Warton II|
can you tell me if this is the same Ben W. Warton II who was married to Carol Lynn Turnbow. If so I will add his information to my family tree, if not I will keep looking for the right one for my family
|Carl Catherman||RE: Homer|
Thank you very much for your quick response.
|Nora Garner||RE: Lula Viola Horton Lewers|
Okay thank you. I just want to make sure that info is accurate. I normally don't tell people corrections but I am positive Mama would have told me if Granny and her siblings had been adopted. Just an fyi. Thanks again and have a blessed day.
I wish I knew how to input onto the graves. There is a lot of info that I have and sometimes I just get frustrated.
Find a Grave has become an amazing source for genealogy as well as for fun.
Have a blessed day. Nora

You are correct. Please do not delete them as spouses. The mistake was mine. I was trying to link her memorial to her parents memorial and the find a grave program wasn't letting me. The message said that there was already a link to her husband. So I deleted her husbands memorial number and kept her parents number. I didn't realize it would prompt you to delete them as a spouse. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to realize this and send me this message. So, no, do not delete him as her spouse. Thank You.
